|chcobe||RE: Elizabeth "Bessie" Link Hayes-42690605|
I found on her husband's DC that she is listed as Elizabeth Franics Link. That is how it was transcribed but it looks like Francis. But the dot is over the c. I will add it as Frances since that is how her mother is listed. Please let me know if that is not ok.

I am doing Ellen Manuel's edits as she is ill. Can you please send the source for middle name to be Francis as you requested in your edit? I was told that Francis was the male spelling and Frances was the female. I see on her death certificate that her mother's middle name was Frances. The 1940 census lists her middle initial as E. I don't see any other records that list a middle initial or a middle name.
Thank you :)

|Janet||RE: Cash - Chattanooga National Cemetery|
The Cash headstone is grave E, 11565. There was a "typo" in the grave number on Findagrave.
The U.S. Burial Register has this man as a Union Soldier belonging to the 23rd Army Corps and died December, 1863. So I do not think this is William B Cash of the 39th Georgia CSA. Catoosa County is near Chattanooga, so maybe his body was returned home.

I'm confused!!! Is the entry OK as it is now???
I don't remember where I must have gotten the info about him from.
Those Websters had "some kind" of connection to my grandmother's people that came from that part of Rockingham county. But offhand, without getting into my Family Tree Maker, I can't recall what that was. I think they had connections to the Martins and/or the Richardsons around there.
Of course I didn't know any of them. But it's interesting to learn about them.
Sorry if I messed up.

I wish I could tell you what happened to Martha's parents, but I'm not the person who added them.
Have you tried "Rootsweb"--which is a free website???
Or maybe "Family Search"--another free website.

Unfortunately, he is not listed in the Rose Hills registry, there is only one other Shackle listed, which is a SHACKLE, FRANCES PAULINE (5/2/1973)

I'm sorry it took me so long to get back with you! Besides find a grave there is another site called billion graves.com. I have been to the cemetery to find my ancestors graves & I can tell you as of 2 years ago they still have their original paper files & will show them to you, nothing was digital then.

Could have been Flossie (for Florence) on the marriage cert. Penmanship was not the greatest. And it wouldn't be the first time someone provided inaccurate info on a death cert for George or others.
I have updated Find A Grave based on your research and locating census and draft records.
If you do not have copies of the records, check my Ancestry.com file "Mitchell-Frantz v 1.00" tree

Thank you for getting back with me. Please let me know if you do find a source for her middle name and I'd be happy to add it to her memorial page. I can not locate her on the 1880 census. Maybe it is listed on it? Fingers crossed!! :)

On the edits you sent Ellen for Mrs. Copley, I see where her nickname would be Nannie but I don't see anything with her middle name as Jane. Would you please send me your source?
Thank you!! :)
I linked her husband's 2nd wife to him. Just wanted you to know in case you are related :)

Yes, that made perfect sense. Thank you!! I noted your reasons in the bio and added a note of Birth location listed is probable given the above information.
Given that there is no proof. There is always the chance they were visiting in another town or even county when he was born. So I usually hesitate to list a location.
You are welcome on me noticing the correct death location of his father. I try to be a very detailed oriented person :) Sometimes it isn't a good thing!! LOL
Thanks for sending the edits!! Let me know if you need anything else!! :)
