RE: John May Sr.
the best way to make additions/corrections is to click the edit button on the persons memorial.
This way the holder of the memorial gets email with a link to memorial.

RE: Capt Charles Henry Palmer
Its a very significant task that you hope to achieve and I applaud you for undertaking it. I hope that you find success. You say that most or all of the headstones/markers from the cemetery have been moved to the basement of the sailors' chapel. Does the public have access to those to attempt a search for names? Or is there a listing of those who lived at the facility while it was thriving.
I believe, that my Capt Charles Henry Palmer went there from Maine after 1920 when all his family had died(wife, parents, in-laws). He had no children. A significant trip for him from eastern Maine to NY at that point in his life. I would love to know more of his time spent there and if he was buried there.
You've sparked me to do more digging into his last years.
Thanks, Donna

RE: Capt Charles Henry Palmer
No, unfortunately, I have no picture of Charles. I would love to have one though. I DO have a picture of his father Thomas Henry Palmer as he was my great great grandfather. If you'd like it I can send it to you. I'll also try to put Thomas on Find A Grave with photos.

Actually I do not have a picture of him - although he was my great-grandfather. Probably somebody does - but I got none in any of the family photos I inherited.

Where are these headstones now, your home? Were these on the grave?

I see a couple of photo headstones in two memorials, they have numbers on them. Where these headstones in your home to prevent vandalism? They look heavy

RE: Capt Robert H Stanton
Capt Robert H Stanton who is in Sailors Snug Harbor Cemetery, Saten Island, NY. #105802060. Aren't you the one who sent this message? "Hi. I visited the cemetery in September of 2012. Every surviving headstone in the cemetery is posted for this cemetery, and a few of the surviving markers that are in the museum as well. I'm sorry that your person's headstone is not in the cemetery and not available to me to photograph."

Anne Chapman
Thank you so much for taking the photo of Anne Chapman's headstone. I really appreciate the info you gave to me from the Hale Index of Cemetery Inscriptions.

I had the birth date but the death date showed up on by other Family Tree info that she died in 1711 but now it is all pretty clear. Also that her husband was Benjamin Chapman is new for me. Great information.

Thank you so much.

Could you correct the typo on the small photo you took of her headstone.

It should be 4 May 2013. Thanks again.
