RE: Mary Cole Swanton Atteridge
You're doing a great job despite the obstacles and frustrations of people who don't care and we can't make them care. Hopefully you can see the humor in an old genealogy joke that I use when angry with the clerk protected by a desk --> Genealogy = Confusing the dead and annoying the living.

RE: Mary Cole Swanton Atteridge
Two memorials are ok with me. Thanks for the information about the 117 graves. No need to change anything. I'll keep working on links between the O'Neill, Swanton, Atteridge and Miller families and avoid links to Mary Cole. Thank you for all your work at Find A Grave.

Mary Cole Swanton Atteridge
I understand that the Cole families are confusing to document their relationships, if at all possible.
Please consider the following information:
Find A Grave Memorial# 102731536 and Find A Grave Memorial# 36088248
Illinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763-1900
Certificate #092M1945 Volume 00A Page 0026
ATTRIDGE, THOMAS SWANTON, MARY (COLE) 05/24/1841 00A/0026 092M1945 LAKE
Source: Page 466. Halsey, History of Lake County. 1912. "Ann was the mother of all the Swantons and Atteridges-- six in each group--and died in the old Cole-Atteridge home, February 4, 1903, at the age of ninety-six." Probably based on her son William Atteridge's interviews with John Halsey.

That is shocking. That is why I am grateful for what you have done. I would have no record of it without you. Thank you again. :)

Death in Polk county, Iowa and buried Milton Iowa. I am sure this is correct, but my first message made it sound like he was buried Polk County.

Thanks for putting up Kendall's Memorial a few weeks ago...(Polk County) interesting cousin since he shares my Gr-Gr-Gr grandfather's first name. His infant sister also was named after Grandmother Naomi Atkins. My Uncle also bears the name Kendall after this same grandfather.

I also like linking sibling groups, and finding out where they moved. I think it is important. I hope my first cousins will find and use the records which you and I have contributed.

A friend in Okla.

RE: Cole Family
I wasn't able to find any reference to pdf files allowed on Find a Grave, but here is another thought, if you could save the map as a .jpg we could upload it as a cemetery photo. If you are able to scan and save it as a jpg file, could you email me a copy? My laptop is not working, but I can use my Kindle Fire HD to upload photos on to the COLE family memorials I have been working on, giving credit to you for the photo. Please advise.

re: John COLE, Memorial #97695669
Hello Justina
I have been working to get all displaced members of the Cole family connected but have quite a few I cannot find yet- but will continue to work on that.
Were you able to get that map of the unmarked graves from the City of Waukegan? Is there any chance it could attach as a .pdf file to these memorials?-is that allowed by Find a Grave?
Pat

RE: John COLE, Memorial #97695669
If nothing else it would have been good of them to have put a fence around the area that people are buried with a sign listing the who is buried there. To my knowledge, the only markers there are for my 2nd Great Grandparents Henry and Margaret Vickerman. My family paid to have them placed. The hoops I had to jump through to get all the information make an interesting story.

re: John COLE, Memorial #97695669
I think this was a sin and the City of Waukegan should make this right by placing monuments on all the graves of the bodies displaced in that mauseleum! Just my opinion, but wish something could be done.
