|Daiyu Hurst||Lula Miller @ Greenlawn Cemetery|
My grandmother Lula's first husband had a sister who married into a huge bunch of Mayfields, but otherwise, that name doesn't appear in my tree, yet you list yourself as 7th cousin 3 times removed. Would this be back along her Burgess line? Blankenbeker, Davis? When Burgess connects with the Wyvill line, it takes us back to the British Crown. But she also has Germanna Colony ancestors whom you could easily be connected to. Just curious, I'm the family genealogist these days.

Your Find A Grave memorial number 100660625, is a duplicate of a more thorough Find A Grave memorial (91869516).
It would be prudent for you to remove your duplicated as the other record is more accurate and complete.

You say he is your 8th cousin 1 X removed, he is the husband of Maylynne Aspluns, who is my 5th cousin, so hello distant cousin.

HI. I am definitely focused on getting this cemetery updated. Many changes I'm putting in are distant relatives, so it doesn't matter whether you make the changes for me or go ahead and transfer them.

Hello ~ I wanted to send you a note to let you know that I fulfilled your photo request. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a headstone so I added the plot view. She is interred with her brother Paul. I added a caption to the plot view photo.
Thank you for doing all that you are doing.
Continue to take care

Yes, a very strange material indeed. I was very fortunate in that the second time I visited it had recently rained emphasizing the etching enough to be seen. The lighting was favorable at that time of day, too.

I was able to get a better picture of Thomas Pinnick's memorial in Middlefork Cemetery. 'Twas a challenge because the stone looks to be made of pea gravel. Strangest thing.

I fulfilled a photo request for you at Middlefork Cemetery for Thomas Pinnick's grave marker. The inscription is very hard to discern because of the way the stone was made. It is a coarse, gravel stone. Unless you can Braille the stone, it is hard to make out the etching. I'll return at a different time of day to see if I can capture a better photo. Full sun does not work at all and totally bleaches out the inscription. I shaded the stone to get the best picture possible; still, only a few letters and numbers could be discerned.

|Sandra Lennox||Viola Mayfield #133256520|
Edit you sent to me:
Viola S. Mayfield, you would like me to
change the middle initial S to Hammond.
I understand her middle name is Hammond as
indicated on her birth record. I have made
notation on her memorial. Sometimes married
women use the initial of their maiden name
instead of the middle name given at birth.
I have seen this many times.
The family gravestone and her ground marker have "S" as a middle initial.
To avoid duplication of the memorial I used
the middle initial as shown on the gravestone
and ground marker.
I included an image of the birth register on
her memorial to show her name at birth.

I just wanted to send you a quick note. I declined the edit on Clifford for now because I didn't see anything with his POB on it. Maybe Clifford Taylor is a common name? But I just couldn't find anything on him, not even a draft record. Per Find A Grave I post documentation to support all changes/edits to my memorials (after I got in trouble for approving an edit without proof UGH!). Can you post the documentation you have that mentions his POB so I can approve the edit? Thank you so much! Laura
