|Richard K Thompson||Simmons at Lockridge cemetery|
You are welcome for the Simmons photos that I took and posted at Lockridge cemetery. Those were the easy ones for their inscriptions are fairly identifiable. There are several 'other' suspected Simmons in that part of the cemetery but those inscriptions even in the early 1960's were almost illegible and attempts to transcribe them were, at best, guesses. The names and/or dates are now, in 2014, virtually eroded away and so I'm hesitant to post a couple of the photos since the identity of the people isn't certain. That's why the rest of the photo requests have not been filled, yet. I'd rather err on the side of 'certain' than 'best guess' at this point, but will be going back to the cemetery this week and take another look in other sunlight to see if the inscriptions can be better photographed.

I have transferred the Hiatt memorials you requested to you. To make it easier for the Contributor, in the future please request a transfer from the edit button. It saves a lot of switching back and forth. I live in a rural area without a fast web connection. Catherine

I went out this morning to fulfill your photo request but was unsuccessful in finding a headstone. I do have the plot # though: Section E/Lot 20/space 4.

Joel, I uploaded the photo for this record. I see that his mother was Harriet B., buried at Dingley and also mentioned on the monument at Fairview. I see what you mean about the Fairview listing being just a memorial and not an actual burial location for one or more. As I wrote, there are smaller stones for each person mentioned on the monument. I should return to Fairview and try to reconcile these discrepancies.

Joel, these three are done. I don't see a photo request for Clarence S. I'll upload a photo when I do.

Joel,didn't take long to find this grave monument; less than 30-minutes. Note: there are more names on the back side.

|Marcia McKown Hummel||Nathaniel & Martha Stevens|
I went to Wall Lake today to photograph the stone(s) for Nathaniel & Martha Stevens. Re the cemetery index they are buried in plot 7-37. Also buried in that plot, tucked very close to the "Mother" stone for Martha is the stone for Inez M. Winters (1863-1934) and next to her is a stone for WIlliam Ray Winter(s?) (Dec 31, 1887-March 14, 1955). Since all 4 were in the same plot, I assumed that they were probably relatives and took photos of their stones too. There is no memorial for either Inez or Wm Ray. Do you want to create memorials for them or do you want me to do that?

Joel, here is the photo you requested. As you'll see there are two persons memorialized on this stone, Achsah and Jehial.Per your request for plot numbers, I don't believe they had visible plot markers at old cemeteries such as this. If you want to see the location check the photo on the Dingley Cemetery page. In the opening in the fence(Gateway)you'll see a tree in the rear. The Simmons stones (Levi & Lydia related)are to the left of this tree. There are five 'Simmons' stones in this row. If you want a group photo of all five put in another request; I'll take another picture. I'm sending you a Word doc. with a transcription of these stones plus a sixth located in the row behind. I'd be annoyed with having a picture, but only being able to read part of it. Also note that I have a photo pending on the Dingley Cemetery page(You won't see it till it's approved). Check back (hopefully soon)and you'll see the yard from a different angle. The markers right behind the fence in that photo are also 'Simmons'.
