RE: Betty Pupkes
Jane,

Thank you so much for the message and all your work on getting the new picture of the stone of my great aunt and her husband. I am sorry that you are having so many difficulties attempting to get the new photo. However, you can't imagine how much I appreciate all of your work on this. It means so much to me since I no longer live in Omaha or even in the same state.

It will be terrific whenever you are able to get it.

Thanks again,

Carrie

RE: ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
Thank you for your father's name. We will add him to our list. It is not required they be on Find A Grave, just served in the military, peace or war time and be buried at Westlawn-Hillcrest.
Please let others know of this project sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326. The more people that know about it, the more complete our list will be. We know many that served in the military have no indication of their service on their grave.
Thanks again,
Carl and Carolyn Diamond

All we need is his name. If you know the section, lot and space, that will help. Otherwise, we work with the office and they will get that for us.

It is our honor to recognise those that have served in the military, in peace or war. They served honorably and we want to honor them in a small way with a flag on Memorial Day.

Thank you for helping us by giving us the names of anyone you know that served. Also feel free to spread the word to others about this project.

Photo for Jim & Betty Pupkes
Hello,

My Great Aunt Betty Lou Mares Pupkes Memorial# 126095409 recently passed away.

However, you had already uploaded an image of the gravestone for her husband Clarence J "Jim" Pupkes Memorial# 98981721.

Would you mind uploading it to Betty's memorial also as her date of death will most likely not be engraved on the stone for a bit longer?

Thank you,

Carrie

We would be honored to have your father's name to place a flag on his grave any time you are unable to do so.

Thank you

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

RE: phone number & records for other cemeteries
Thanks so much as there was another one that I wasn't sure if they were buried in Calvary or Saint Mary Magdalene.

That phone number will be helpful to find out first on the ones I don't remember.

RE: Hanora's grave
Thank you again.

I'm not sure either. However, my great grandfather James Elmer Linstrom didn't die until 1972. Do you think they would have actually moved her body to have her buried with him at Calvary?

The other thing I was wondering would be if she was actually buried elsewhere and they only put her name on the marker with his.

Thank you again for your photo of the grave for Herbert Nathan Stevens & Margaret Mary "Sis" Linstrom Stevens. Margaret was the only girl with 5 brothers in my grandfather's family. I had to explain her nickname to my children.

Thank you so much for the photo for Delma Augusta Mares. She was one of my grandmother's sisters. She spent a lot of time with her nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews when she was alive. She was never married and never had any children. Right now seeing the mausoleum again I am finding that time hasn't helped in some ways. I still miss her terribly. I don't think I have been to Calvary cemetery since her funeral. I have not lived in Omaha since 1996.

I just wanted to let you know that Delma Mares is buried in the mausoleum. Hopefully that will make it easier to locate. Thank you again.

Thank you for the photos you took of the graves for Elmer & Erma Linstrom, Clarence Pupkes & William Linstrom. The photo you took of William Linstrom's grave also has the image for his wife. Can I please have you add that image to Memorial# 99051300? Thank you again.

I would put her pic with her father or mother.
I forgot to look at who owned Dad. Birthdate doesn't match with narrative or marker photo. Need to change to 1900.
Thank you so much.

Hi Jane,

I'm sure you're probably very busy. I haven't received the full shot of Elsa & John's tombstones. Do you still have it?

Thanks so much!
