Hello, I made a visit over to the cemetery, so many of the stones are unreadable or have fallen, I did not locate her on my first visit, but plan is to return as soon as we get a break in our weather here. I will keep you updated on what I can find.

Hi there, I see you were asking for a photo of Simeon Webster on another photo request. I went to the cemetery and there is no one by this name listed in the directory. Thanks!

Hi! Carole, Thanks for posting the photo. I am unable physically to do what your doing to help us out here. Your assistance is most appreciated by our family. I find it amazing at how many styles & sizes of markers are out there. They are sometimes a beautiful work of art. I have one problem. I can't read the inscription very well. Are you able to return to the cemetery & transcribe it sometime? The older markers are being attacked by the elements & need their inscriptions posted to the memorials also. So there are two ways to preserve them & not completely lose them. Hope you have a safe & enjoyable week. Take care & God bless.

carol, I am new to this find a grave but have been doing genealogy search now going on 21 years, I live a mile from the cemetery in which nancy roger's is laid to rest at, I would gladly go by and see if I can locate the site and get a pic for you, at no cost. I know and understand how hard it is to locate information when doing genealogy searches. I can be contacted at Lonnie_birge@yahoo.com if you got any questions..
thank you.

Mrs. Rogers,

I am sorry if I stirred up any bad past memories as that was not my intent. I hate to see Great Americans and their significant sacrifices, like your brother, John Webster, go unnoticed. He should never be forgotten as well as the 58,000 plus Americans who had to pay the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. God be with you and may your brother rest in peace.

You're welcome!

I'm sorry about the mix-up in the photography. A brand-new volunteer saw the photo request, didn't understand about how that works, and posted several illegible photos. That doesn't "fulfill" the request, unfortunately, so I took better ones and posted them. I only had to wet them slightly to make the letters pop. I'm hoping he will delete his. I have one more for Alfred that is important - the actual headstone marker, separate from the large family marker- but unless the memorial gets sponsored, there is a 5-photo limit, and the other guy used three of them. But if you look on his wife Mary's site, you will see her headstone marker. His is similar. I'll give the guy a few days to delete some of his. Is Alfred family? If so, and if you want to sponsor his memorial for $5 you can, then let me know and I'll upload the other photos.

Take care,
Kim S.

Glad you were able to edit the memorial.

Not sure what Stein it is that you mentioned, I have put in 287 of them that I still control the memorials for, so I don't know which one you are talking about.

Put out a photo request on her and someone will get around to filling it even if it's not me.

The only reason I can think of that you would not be able to edit the memorial would be if you were not logged into Find A Grave when you were looking at the memorial.

RE: Leo Matthew Cawdrey
Hi Carole,
I've added the photos for his parents, they are on the same stone. In the far right corner of the photo of Leo Sr you can see a World War I maker, which I assume is his. There is a WW II marker for Leo Jr near Ada's side, but I don't think it shows in her photo. The stone is rather unique, I don't think I've seen another one like it yet.

If you want them linked, click the "Edit" tab on their memorial and it will send an email to the person who made the memorials. Include the memorial numbers of the persons you would like them linked to and relationship.

Hi Carole,

Did you put out a photo request on her daughter? I have been concentrating on Sunrise Slope but it wouldn't be too difficult for me to swing over to Graceland some time.

Did you get a chance to update Mary's birth year to 1869 yet?

Hi Carole,

I filled the photo request. Her birth year is listed as 1869 on the marker.
