Thank you
Amazing! Thank you so much for Francis McCullah's memorial. Looks like the stone is in bad shape and took some work to decipher. Good job.

I have been to Shady Grove in Racket a couple of times, There used to be a church there. There are a lot of empty spaces, that are probably un marked graves.
Yes. He has some kind of mental problems...I guess.

RE: Huldie McCoun
Hi Vickie,

I'm related through marriage and no I do not live in Ill. I live in Louisiana, my husbands native state.

I've been researching my family and do an extensive search of all the family members even those married in.

If I do find anything more I'll let you know. I think it's just wonderful what you and your hubby have done on placing the headstones for those who didn't have them. They should not be forgotten. I have been in the process of doing the same where I live.

All the best to you ~ Solange

My pleasure. Are you related to Robert Schley, Assistant Principal at Clinton Iowa High School in the 1970's?

RE: He does have a stone.
My wife's family lives just up the road from Mount Zion. It was a beautiful day and I decided to see if I could shoot the whole cemetery for the families of those interned there.

He does have a stone.
Hi Vickie, I saw your note on the page for William "Willie" Lee Fenimore and just wanted to let you know that he does indeed have a headstone at Mount Zion.

You cant contact them for research unless you are requesting certified copies. The good news is that in most of Iowa counties you can walk in and research all the old records. The only ones you can't are the large population ones.
I needed to make a run to Eagleville today and had some time to do research at Leon. I went and searched death records and 2 books of the births and had some luck. If you are interested I will type them up and email them to you. From the info I found at the Leon library's cemetery books, I don't think any Slys are buried in the old Davis City cemetery.
Sincerely, Karen

Thank you, thank you, thank you! for the picture of my great-great-grandmother's headstone. I would have never known that the stone included all three of his wives. It was so kind of you to do this and I really can't thank you enough.

Hello Vickie,
No I am not related to the Frylings. When I go to cemeteries to get photo request filled I take other pictures of memorials that are close by in case they haven't been photographed yet. I like to add them to F.A.G. for family's even if there hasn't been a photo request so if any relatives are working on Genealogy they are available for them.

Thank you.
Thank you Vickie. I'm new to this but learning. I have about 3-4 pictures of Mike when he was a child. If you want them I can forward them to you. I'm retired now and trying to trace back the Schley Genealogy which is tough due to the numerous name changes (Slye, Sly, Schley). I found some pictures of Grandma and Grandpa Schley (Oscar/Etta) when they were young. I only remember them as old people (my age now). I'm on and Family Tree DNA. Again thank you for the information.

I added the information you sent me, Thanks. I do not know where his parents are. This is a cemetery that is located close to my home so I have photographed all the stones. If his parents are there, there is no stone.

Date and place edits
I notice I have received several edits to approve of complete dates and/or places of birth/death. Thank you for finding the information and sending it, the memorials are much more useful with complete information. Keep them coming.

Vickie, I would love to have the information to make sure what I have on the memorial is correct. The problem is that you posted this on my profile page without an information as to the memorial numbers. I need you to send me the information in a SAC. To do that, go to the memorial in question, click on the [edit] tab in the upper right corner of the memorial. Choose the last sub-option to tell me what the death certificates say. I don't need to see them, I'll take your word for it. If some information needs to be changed, you will notice there are other sub-options to submit those changes. By doing this, the message I receive as a result of your work will have a link to the memorial so I can go right to it. I don't accept change requests any other way. If you had read my profile page before posting there, you would have found that out already. I just don't have time to deal with this when it is not submitted correctly.

I know you were trying to help and I APPRECIATE all the help I can get, believe me. It's just so much easier in a sag. Thanks.

RE: Axemaker
Thank you for updating the memorials. No, I'm not related so a transfer isn't needed but I appreciate the offer! The only additional information on have on their birthplaces is from their marriage record - Joseph born Ashland County, Wisconsin & Anna born in Germany.
