|Janis Tomko||RE: Rachel|
Thanks for letting me know about the cemetery plot. One of the 3 burials prior to 1895 must have been her husband Henry (who died 1881). The other two were probably children that died young. It's disappointing about the tombstones, but given the family's financial situation it's not too surprising. How does your neighbor fit in? I am a descendant of Henry and Rachel's daughter Rachel (1862-1926) who married Charles Dilliplane.

|Randy VanFleet||Henry Boughter|
Our Church records show 3 of Henrys 8 graves were in use by 1895. A visit to his lot today showed only one stone. It's of a 3 year old girl named Elizabeth. She is probably not buried here as her death predates the cemetery. There are at least 2 depressions next to her that are probably Henry and Rachel. The lone stone is barely readable so I created a memorial for Elizabeth Buchter using our church records. Will you please pass this info on to Janis Tomko?

Rachel and Henry are my 2x's great-grandparents. I have not been able to find a tombstone either, but a cousin is in possession of a deed for Amityville Cemetery, Lot 72, Section D which was purchased in 1862. Rachel's death certificate indicates that she is buried there and I believe that Henry is as well. I updated the Find A Grave memorials with the plot.

You are so very welcome!
I also took a photo of the grave next to CJ Ammons. Mary V Ammons 1864-1936. Do you need that one?
I also have a closer shot of the wording on CJ's.

Hello I am researching the Hall family for a friend and found the graves and memorials of your ancestors that you created. Please get back to me when you can. I am trying to piece as much family history as possible to create a family tree book for her. And I am sure she would love to connect with her living cousins! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Her grandmother was Elva Mae Hall and her great grandfather was Charles Wilson Hall.

Thanks for taking the photos of the stones that remain!
It is so wonderful to see the location etc.

|Berks-Dauphin Roots||RE: clearing around stones|
Are you talking about weeds & grass? Sure, documenting the stone is important. I have picked stones up and cleaned off the mud. I do leave it as I found it.

I hadn't noticed, but will give it a look. I saw that you posted pics on a couple of my memorials, so I was just browsing your memorials to see what you added. It overlaps with my research and was just trying to help out. The spellings get confusing.
