Hi Chris

As I recall this death is listed in the cemetery interment records but I do not think there is any stone.

I'll submit GPS info when I see/find the stone, we do know it's by a road! I must have taken the photo before I had my GPS camera

Eliza Jane King Hawkes
Eliza Jane is my Grandfather Frank King Hawkes mother the only thing I have which I don,t know if it is true is that Eliza Jane was married to William Hawkes and they had 6 Children Thomas J,Helen I,My Grandfather Frank King,William H Jr,Celelia and Joseph T.I never did get to know my grandfather because he died in 1946 and I was born in 1948 so my mother Frank's daughter was only 16 when he died.By looking at things on the computer I found a Eliza Hane King Hawkes that died in 1902 by drowning in the Kennebec River. But I can not find any obit on her or any other information on her anything that you would have on this King family would be great.Edith Kelly Bond E-mail address is marialania1968@yahoo.com

I did not see Jennie Darling's grave.I have a picture of what I am assuming would be her daughters grave if you are interested. I also have a picture of Hala B darling's grave. Those two are on the same stone as Horace Schultz.

Christian Otto Schultz
Hello, Christine,

My mother, Jocelyn Florence Schultz De Noce, and I are also direct descendants of Christian Otto Schultz and Maria Christina Scharpenstein of Rhinebeck, New York. My maternal great-grandparents are Isaac Vanderhoff Schultz of Rhinebeck, New York and Luedna Violet Greer of Brockville, Ontario, Canada. I am wondering if you already knew that you are our cousin?

Effie Marquardt - Rhinebeck Cemetery
Hi Chris

I have made the suggested changes you send about Effie Marquardt's parents, but I do see that in Dougliss' obit it says that he and his wife only had one child, Edwin.

Happy to do it! I wish I'd paid more attention, though, I usually try to get the photos more close up.

Christine ~ I too am a great granddaughter (6th) of Christiana Sharpenstein and Otto Schultz but through their son Jacob who married Ursula Schryver. They in turn had a daughter Anna, not sure if you have this information as I didn't see it listed on your page. If you would like more information please message me and I would happily give it to you for your research. I have been making some trips to Rhinebeck, the next time I am there I will stop at the cemetery and try to find the graves.

uboat.net
At the end of the second paragraph of my profile page, I list uboat.net as one of my main sources. That's where we found what happened to my father's ship, the MS Lake Osweya, several years ago. Our government never told us anything except 'lost and presumed dead' and that's all we had for years. My son stumbled onto uboat.net when he typed in the name of the ship; needless to say, we were all in a state of shock! Another excellent source is usmm.org, and it's amazing what google will bring up sometime. Happy hunting.

Patricia

Perry Wicks, Memorial #75357096
I've made the transfer. So glad you left your token so that this could be done. It's always good to be able to give these memorials to family so that they can be completed and linked.

Take care,

Patricia

Perry Wicks, Memorial #75357096
Hi Christine,

I just came across the token you left on this memorial. Since you referred to Mr. Wicks as your cousin, I take it you're related. Would you like to have maintenance of this memorial? Now that I have the information entered, my goal is to transfer all of these Merchant Marine memorials to family. If you're interested, let me know.
I enjoyed your page and the way you described your history. Very interesting.

Regards,

Patricia

Conact
I can't send openly information about living family members etc. That should be done by email. I am Marshall Davies Lloyd mlloyd57@gmail.com. Please contact me so we can share info. Lucia is the daughter of Susan (Ten Broeck) Kendall. Her husband Wallace Crane Kendall is on Find A Grave --http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=68836233 which gives you her father Robert Livingston Ten Broeck.

Yes, this is John's resting place. Angela must have had him buried right there in Jackson ville. I do explain at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=101922113 that it is his maternal line that raised him. I met both him and Angela years ago and have been in communication with his kids. John married 1.Jane Howard Austin
with children: 1. Julia Anna Tenbroeck; 2.John Scott Tenbroeck; and 3. David Austin Tenbroeck.

His mother Alice Ursula Ten Broeck (Birth 02 Dec 1912 in Rhinebeck, Dutchess, New York, USA-Death 26 Apr 1993 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, USA) m. John Biehl (1898 1981) by whom she had 2 half-siblings to John TB: Paul Biehl and Francis (Frank) J Biehl. Family tells me Roland Martin Lyles m. Opal and had a third half-brother James C Lyles.

I wouldn't put much stock in documents from Alice that said she had no dependents. Most women in that era would not admit to children out of wedlock.

John TenBroeck
John was born out of wedlock to Roland Lyles but he did not raise him. Lyles went on to marry and have half siblings. John carried his mother's name but was raised by Aunt & Grandmother. In summers he would come to live with my mother-in-law's family. I'm on my phone and so will look at this later. John told me he intended to be buried in Rhinebeck a few weeks before his death and I gave him the contact info for the cemetery. I imagine you were confused because his surname was not Lyles but he definitely was raised by his maternal family.

You are very welcome. You may want to note that Vena Chiuchiolo (I'm not sure relation, possible second wife??) was buried there as well. I entered her record (there was none) and also took a picture of the marker. I wish you a Merry Christmas! Devon
