Sodalake, I would like to thank you for your effort in providing me a picture of the grave of one of my ancestors, John Carnifix, who died of disease while enlisted in the Union Army and was buried in Tenn. It has taken me a long time to get this thanks to you as every other time I tried there was a problem in the computer system that I was not knowledgeable enough to overcome, for some reason it wants to work today. Thank you again. Bill Baumbauer

Martha Teague
Hello! We are related by Elizabeth & Jacob Thomas (my 4x great grandparents). I was in the Peoria Cemetery today looking to verify Elizabeth & Jacob Thomas when I saw your request - then it started pouring rain. I will give this another shot in the next couple of weeks (I live about 40 min away). I am assuming that Martha will be somewhere near Elizabeth & Jacob and now that I know what Allen's stone looks like, it will help me out. However, I will warn you that this cemetery has a lot of flat cement markers with just numbers on them, but I'll give it another try. Let's hope!

RE: Whitfield
How very nice of you!! I was the one in my family to find him though I wish I could have done it while my father was alive. Great Great Grandpa Whitfield left three little boys and my father lost his Dad to pneumonia when he was 5. This left three little boys! So one of GG Grandpa's sons came to Texas on a cattle boat at age 13. He was like a father to Daddy and his two brothers though he had 7 children of his own.

Grandpa William Whitfield was killed in Georgia in 1864. I almost had to fight the War again. --or guess I sorta did!

Are you sure this is not too much trouble? Please let me know and I'll email you my address. A big heartfelt thank you.

Proud to be his GG granddaughter, Nancy

THANK YOU!!! This really does mean so much to me and my family. I searched for him for so long and the photo is really the icing in the cake. A real blessing to me. You are so very much appreciated. I grew up on the place his son bought here in TX and its hallowed ground for me. Kindest Regards, Nancy

thanks for the photo; trying to locate a woman by the same name whose maiden name is Cook; do you happen to know who the husband could be?
Your work is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year to you!

Thanks so much. If you'd be amenable to transferring, since her husband was already transferred to me, that would be great. Thanks again, and all the best to you. -Joe K.

Thank you for taking the time to photograph the headstone of Martin. I appreciate the "extra" pictures of the cemetery. Martin was only 18 when he died and has no posterity. It took me several years to locate him. He is not forgotten. I live in the West and Ga is too far to visit. Thank you! Colleen

I am sorry for the delay in thanking you for the pictures of Reis and Price. For some reason Find a Grave wasn't recognizing my login, even when I was already logged in.

Really appreciate your support.

Can Do!

RE: Robert Royal Rhodes
You may use the photo wherever you chose. I take them so that people like you can do their "thing" with genealogy like I do. There are other Rhodes at the cemetery--do you need any of them? I live in Americus so it is a short trip down the road! Let me know if you need more. Cheryl Henry
