RE: Joel Freeman
Did you really add my name to my stories? I see today that you have not done an "Update" since 10-02-2013, on "Southern Families and Beyond. I wrote those personal stories on my grandfathers down from Joel Freeman, Jacob Freeman, David Freeman, and so on, down to my grandfather and father. I don't see anywhere "F.A.G. notes by GenealogyJoan" Hmmmm. Also I saw my mother's name listed, which should not be for persons living in 2013. Maybe I need to contact World Connect RootsWeb, for help. Now, I wish I had never wrote my stories for people to "use" in their GED COM files, with great regret. GenealogyJoan

RE: Joel Freeman
Thanks for doing that. I hadn't realized just how far and wide F.A.G. info is spread until I found it all on rootsweb, family search and ancestrydotcom, it has made me take a second look at how I now add info to my precious memorials, especially living relatives, which are not supposed to make it onto rootsweb, but obviously do. Also, I have enjoyed your photography on your site, it's very well done. GenealogyJoan :)

RE: Joel Freeman
OMG, I went back and looked at your index of southern families and beyond, which appears to have almost everyone in my find a grave files, but I am pretty certain we are not related, so I am wondering why someone would put all my memorial information on there and call it southern families and beyond. Do you know any of the people from my list? They are nearly all from my family lines, people that are precious to me, not just numbers. I am perplexed.

RE: Joel Freeman
This Joel would be the one you have on world connect rootsweb, ged com. He is Joel Joseph Freeman 1797-1872. I wrote the stories attached to his son Jacob, and his son David, and his son Harry, and his son Olman. Thanks, GenealogyJoan. I guess that we are not related?

Hello Theresa, I have been enjoying your photography! I also was wondering if we are related in some way? I found that you had placed my line of my family on WC Rootsweb GED COM, and all of my stories I wrote about my ancestors, but you didn't mention me, or give me credit, or show a connection to me, just that it was from find a grave. If you can please go back and place my name GenealogyJoan, at the end of my stories/bios, sort of like people do copyrights to photography. Are you connected to my family line? Thanks, GenealogyJoan 47336229

Thank you for all the information.

I saw Laura Willis Bell d. 1928 in Aiken Co, SC...however, if you read her obit --posted on Findagrave -- she does not fit with the rest of sibling names. I found this info a couple of years ago.

Thank you.

Fran

RE: Confederal Physicians
I forwarded that name to Bioengineer for his research. It sounds as if Dr Todd served in the line as a combatant, not in a medical capacity. You'd be surprised how many physicians did. But if there's any evidence that Dr Todd did any medical service, Bioengineer will find it. Thank you, and I hope you will alert me to any more doctors of an age to have been a doctor serving the CSA-Bioengineer established a DOB of no later than 1840 as a guideline.

I looked up her obit. She is listed as Mrs J W Swindell, so per your edit, I am unlinking her from Walter Branch Swindell. Her very long obit conspicuously omits any mention of parents, husband, or children, no survivors' names at all.

Nathan Edmund Monteith, fag #113870330
My Find A Grave #47182967.
Theresa, Thank you for creating the find a grave memorial for Nathan Edmund Monteith. Edmund is the name listed in his father Hiram Monteith's Bible and on the 1870 census. "Ed" is listed in the Jackson County Cemetery Book. I left an edit to change name and list birthdate from Bible. His parents are listed on his brother James Walter Monteith's death certificate.

My computer had the hiccups once and I ended up with 45 of one entry. I might accidentally put one up a couple of time, but 45? no!

Garden of Memories Cemetery
Do you ever go to the Anderson County, SC, Garden of Memories Cemetery in Belton, SC? I would love two pictures made of my family's markers. I noticed that you had taken some photos there in the past. They are Earl Bond (Bonnie) Tomlin and his wife Ada Mae Blocker Tomlin. He died in 1993, and she died in 1976. If you can help, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!

Please go on and ask findagrave to combine these two memorials. Mine was put on by the marker name as that is all we had to go by. He is no kin to me and you are welcome to maintain his page. Bud, who took the marker pictures died last week - such a great guy. When findagrave combines them, everything will be together - all the marker pictures and all your links. Also the flowers left will still be there. Please tell them to let you have the page to maintain since he is kin to you. Thanks.

Click on your offering, the pink rose...it's easy and no need for you to contact Findagrave, ok?

It does not matter who has creation control of the memorial for you to delete your "offering".

Could you please try again?

Hope this helps you.

Thank you.

I have located & confirmed the wife of the other William Shehane and have requested links to him and her parents, also!

Mission accomplished! :)

Thank you.

Teresa, could you remove your msg on this memorial, please?
I found the correct William T Shehane who died in 1908 and have had his wife, Martha (Blackmon)Blackmon, linked to him. Apparently, there were two William T Blackmon in Lancaster County! Go figure!

Not sure who this William married yet...lol!

Thank you so much!

(I did not want anyone else to get confused by your msg.)

That's great, I know right where you're talking about. I was just in the area early part of the week, wish I had this at that time. I'm now home 275 miles away. Thanks so much.
