I have done some refurbishing to the headstone of Nathaniel Watkins. I posted a new picture.

I didn't see any grave that could have been his wife's. When I go back I will take a better look. There are pieces of stone around the tombstone and I will try to clean them up and make some sense out of them.

I have a picture of what is the broken tombstone of Nathaniel Watkins. I can just barely read the name on the monument. I will post what I have. I plan on going back and see if I can piece together the monument and perhaps repair it. If I am successful I will post what I come up with. Sorry the picture is pretty crappy right now. I have verified that it is his grave. The plot listing shows him being in J104. It is actually J109.

Hi Burton, I wanted to explain my Edit for the above person before you reject it.
Browsing thru old, old papers and I came across the funeral notice for above person.
It was written up in the August 5, 1896 edition of our local paper. It mentions the maiden name of his wife.
Anything else I can help you with, let me know. Sue

Hi Burton, Requesting a transfer of my husband's great grandfather, Eugene Reising (133662952). Thanks! Sara

You recently sent sent requests to transfer. I am declining at this time. I did see that you are a Brooks. My Mother was a Brooks. Is it possible that we are related. Would you mind letting me know who your grandparents are? All of minne are on mine profile page.

Burton, I have transferred ownership. Always glad when a family member takes over care of a memorial.

Hi Burton, I was glad to find HGB's grave for you. It is in the plot dedicated to Masons, so his wife Mary is not there, but her obituary (Miami Herald, Oct 25 1974, age 93) says she was buried elsewhere in Southern Memorial Park. It is not close to my house--I just happened to be in the area--but if I get up there again I'll look for it.
I believe Harry's stepdaughter Anna Kearns lived in Miami too, & is buried in Flagler Cemetery here. Are you doing more genealogy?

Thank you so much for the memorial for Sheila & Lloyd. They were very much loved & respected within the Belgian Sheepdog community and are sorely missed. Sheila knew all the dogs and all the pedigrees. Lloyd was a fabulous photographer and their dogs were the envy of many.

Burton: Family reunion week just started so please put in a photo request as a reminder. If I have pictures they may need edited and I won't get to that until next week.

You're very welcome. I'm not related but all of these Watkins' were in the same general area, so I figured they were all related somehow so I photographed them all.
Like any memorial I create, I try to add as much information as possible. I'd be happy to transfer them. If you would, please use the edit tab on the memorials and cut/paste your member # in the message block.

You have his place of death on the memorial listed as Ohio, so I wasn't sure if it was the correct person, or if it was, I wasn't sure if you knew that he died in Washington. I was just excited to come across the article from way back then!

Transfers done. The information that John was a lumberjack is from the database of the Grand Traverse Area Genealogical Society. They also list two unnamed babies in unmarked graves buried in the family plot.
