RE: Head Family descendants!!
I was really thrilled to hear from you. I'm very new to all this and I'm kind of fishing in the dark on this stuff. But I'm the youngest of Marshall & Ethel Head and it looks like you have a real handle on this. Yes, My grandfather on my father side was Thomas Smith Head who married Katherine Carroll. She was the daughter of John Wesley Carroll. He had at least 3 wifes. I was really interested in him since I never knew a thing about his civil war record. I found out a few things from Find a grave. The way the researchers put all this on a lot of the articles that are included in the cemetery report. Sometimes they don't know too much. But I joined because I started looking up my relatives and saw some blanks and thought well maybe I could help to fill in some of them. My cousin started a few years ago about the head family ,but I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out some of it . It gets hairy. Ha There is about 70 pages from the old days of England to now and I'm a lost cause trying to figure it out. Our family all started in Virginia and went down the mountains to Georgia and from there a lot came to Jackson parish. Our relatives are basically buried in Jackson Parish-Mt. Pleasant/ Brooklyn, and in Chatham. and Ouachita out at Luna cemetery. Some over in West Carroll parish at Forest and Oak Grove. I hope we can talk more and see how we can help each other with info concerning our families. Thanks.

Yes Thomas and Minerva are buried on our family property. We just bought them a new headstone and put it in in September. Annabel was my Husbands Great Grandmother.

Hi Theresa,

Just found your note to me on your 'grandmother's memorial. You're welcome!

Do you have the email address of the researcher in Washington state from Margaret's line? I would like to touch base with him again.

Thank you,

Shirley Burks Wells

I'm glad you liked the photo and that I was able to help you.

Yes, you have my permission to use the photo and, if it's possible, please give credit to Find a Grave, which makes us all possible to find and memorialized our loved ones.

Have a great day!

RE: Elinor Whitney: Eleanor (Arnold) Whitney 48875311
Her father was Thomas Bray, her mother later married Thomas Arnold. I believe she used both the names. The picure on the grave site is the memorial stone of the Founders of Groton, Mass, Memorial which includes the Whitneys. If You send me your email, I will send images of these if you want. Hope this helps.

Yes, I was confused at first, also. Until I found that Grosvenors did that, sometimes. When a child died it was "replaced" by another of the same name.

No, I'm sorry I can't say who it is. I tried to enlarge the group photo, but wouldn't you know the other stone is not as clear as Emma's.

RE: Almer Dickinson Sarah Jane (Ellsworth) Dickinson
Hi Renee: PLEASE feel free to use the things I put on Find A Grave. Just give credit! THANK YOU for asking. Are the Dickinson's relatives of yours? I can transfer them if you tell me which Find A Grave numbers you would like and what your # is.

I am from St. Paul, MN and Sunset Rest is about 100 miles south of my home on the Iowa border. My grandfather came from that area.

I am presently in Philly visiting my best friend and we went to New Hampshire last week to work on one of my lines. We found a gold mine!

Let me know which are your relatives so I can transfer. BTW, when I get back home, I hope to be passingby that cemetery. Do you need pictures? Happy hunting, Patti

Ruth Weems
I checked the spreadsheet I submitted and she is buried next to James W. Weems. His death certificate from 1968 shows Ruth Weems to be the informant.

Ruth Kelley Weems
I did locate the memorial-it was under the last name Weems. I don't have anything further on her except that through the Houston Public Library, I was able to search the Houston Chronicle records which included 1999 (I got her date of death from Family Search). Her obituary was published in the Houston Chronicle on Jan 29,1999. I was unable to see the obit but if you contact the Chronicle, they may tell you how to go about getting a copy. There is a James W Weems buried in the same section and I am searching my pics to see if I can tell if they are buried next to each other. I will keep you posed if anything is found that can help.

I'm not clear on who you are inquiring about. I can't find a Ruth Kelley in my memorials and the link you gave wouldn't come up. I can tell you that if the grave is in Houston, I am not related and only documented the photos I took. But I would be glad to find out anything I can on this end for you.

Roxie Phillips Gullatt
Hi Renee,

You wrote to me about Roxie, asking me to link her to her father. I don't manage Roxie's memorial, so I can't make that link, as you can only link from the child's memorial to a parent and not from a parent to a child. But I did send an edit suggestion to the current manager and asked her to link Roxie to her father, so hopefully that will get done.

Thanks for the information,
Laura

I am not the manager of his memorial page, I just added the photo, therefore I cannot transfer the memorial to you. It was added by the IWWP. They usually will transfer to a family member.

To request a transfer, go to Franklin Tossas' memorial page, click on the Edit button (upper right), click on the Suggest a Correction or provide additional information, in the message area ask for a transfer - state that he is your father and you would like to manage his memorial, in the message add your name and contributor number which is next to your name on your contributor page. Send a message to yourself by checking the box next to "send me a copy of this email."

They usually transfer in a few days as they are extremely busy with so many memorials.

If I can help you in any way please feel free to contact me.
