Sounds good.

RE: Willard Jefferies
Plot location is section 8, lot 409, 3a. I also have photos of his wife Myrtle, and his parents Willard and June Jeffries if interested.

Willard Jefferies
I took this request because my son was in CAP with Mr Jefferies. The cemetery did not say anything about a cost for looking up a location.

Sorry, I have nothing on this gentleman. "History of Dearborn Co." just has the 1 mention as being son of Col. Zeb and bro of Gen. Zeb.

French Gulch

I flew by French Gulch today on the way to Costco and dropped by the cemetery to fulfill a claim for five pictures. I hadn't looked at the Find A Grave list but took an extra half dozen that looked interesting. Turns out the cemetery is only 25% photo'd. You might want to spend a few lunch hours over there 'cause there are a lot of historic names on those markers. I have enuf on my plate on this side of the mountain, so even tho' I'm interested I'm not going to make the trip just to fill my camera.

cheers ....... Jerry

ps... I also play the kazoo...

Galen and Althea Hemenway
I just called the cemetery. They said there is a big tree down out there that's a mess and they are having trouble getting it cleaned up.

I was told that Galen and Althea were cremated. Her cremains are on the right side of his space. I guess neither one have markers, aside from the military one that was provided.

I really appreciate that you took the time and effort to go out to the cemetery. You are worth your weight in gold. It's volunteers like you that make this world a nicer place!

Pardon me for being snippy! I reacted before I thought it thru, you might imagine the surprise when I looked at the site and found MY photo with YOUR name. No harm no foul. I will eliminate the extra photo as well as Ken's, he asked me to take it down. Jerry

If I'd known you were going to take the picture I wouldn't have. You should claim any requests you intend to respond to. ..... jh

Just wondering
Are you related to the Roland Hall who used play the organ at Gill Coliseum at OSU?

Merry Christmas
RD...I sure hope you didn't mind the transfer earlier of Allen.Wilson to your care.I didn't know him or anything about him for that matter but if you look,I have a "few" memorials for Black Hills National Cemetery. You stated you had an interest in him due to his military etc so I felt he was better w/you as you knew more about him. Also wanted to thank-you for adding the picture of him to his memorial.

I just claimed your request for a picture of his headstone @ BHNC & it dawned on me that according to his obit...he'll be laid to rest @ BHNC @ a later date.I did check w/the National Grave locator & as of this morning...there is no record of him being laid to rest @ BHNC...yet ! you want to pull your request for him & I'll keep a watch out for when he is laid to rest or what would you like to do ?

Take care,

~ Beth ~

Ipswich, SD
I'm closer to Ipswich than to many of the other cemeteries I've added names to...but still not very close--Bozeman, MT. I added many of my own family first, mostly in western PA and central OH, then added from cemetery lists using spreadhseets. So I don't know about any of your possible family still in that area.

RE: PFC Behnke
Interred overseas. He actually has a Grave number H6 18 in the Florence (Permanent Cemetery). Italy. So he is buried there. The stone in Oakwood cemetery is just a Memoriam. His death date is Oct 9th. I found this on Ancestry. Sandra

Alvin J. Jennings
Alvin Jennings and his twin brother Calvin were my VERY distant cousins. Their grandfather and my great great grandfather were brothers. The Jennings family is originally from NC where I have always lived. I have never met any of my Oregon relatives and therefore, do not have any photos to share. I'm sorry that I could not be of help to you.
