|Karen Mickel Bennett||RE: Re: Fancie Thompson|
Happy to transfer her to you. Your bio is beautifully written. My daughter and I found, a week ago, a black cemetery which has never been recorded. I am in the process of doing the memorials and adding the photographs. About one half of the cemetery was gone ... I am so happy we could get the other half before they disappear also!

Happy to do any transfers to you. Just send me a request and I'll get to it as soon as I see it. There is no need for anyone to even be related; just interested for whatever reason. Cheers.

|Clyde and Sandra Padgett||Shady Grove Baptist Church|
I have driven by and around this church many times and do not find a cemetery. There is a mobile home park behind the church. The church is called "The New Shady Grove Baptist Church." The church is still active.
Directly behind the church is a small very thick wooded lot which is almost impenetrable. It doesn't look anything like a cemetery. Although it is possible, it seems that the church would take care of the cemetery if it were there. I was wondering if you had any other information about the church (perhaps the memorials are at an old Shady Grove church. I would love to photo the cemetery if I could find it.

I am extremely proud of your homage and love for our ancestors. I have many family member who were slaves in Greensboro, Clarke, Oconee and Watkinsville Georgia. I have traced them as far back as the 1700's.I know where many of them are buried. Several times a year I take flowers and place on their graves. Again Thanks,

I recently added over 100 memorials and pictures to this cemetery, and I noticed you have family connections to many of the buried. If you would like additional info added, corrections, or transfers of any of these, I would be happy to do so.

Thank you for accepting the correction. I did not think to send you the documentation but it is an excellent idea. If you want you can add the following
Mary Ann Hughes was born free as her father Branch Hughes was freed at the age of 15 by the will of Mary Ann Hughes 1794.

You are so welcome. I am finally getting to the last of my photos! I had several hundred -- and I put more of them on whether you could read all of them or not, on the site .... I don't know if I have more from your family, but I should have everything finished up this week for Mount Hope! Thanks for your sweet note..... If you want any transfers just let me know -- I don't mind at all!

I am happy this made a difference for you and helped! I was fortunate to find his stone. This cemetery has several thousand people buried there but not too many memorials left in the old sections. A total shame. Therefore, I try to photograph any stones which remain. Have a wonderful day.

I just visited Jordan Chapel cemetery.
The cemetery, which is called the Jordan Chapel cemetery at Find a Grave, has numerous names like Manly Cemetery, Hill Cemetery, and Niagara Cemetery.
The cemetery is in poor condition. I could only find a dozen tombstones.
How do you know about James M. Hill's military service?

Thank you for accepting the edits. Simon Leach's stone is unfortunately an "orphan," we don't know exactly where he's buried in Mt. Olive. But he is there, and I wanted to show he had family. Thanks so much!

|G. Williams||Rev. Anthony J. Johnson|
Good Afternoon Greensboro 24
I wanted to take the time to thank you for adding Rev. Anthony J. Johnson to the find a grave website. Rev. Johnson was the brother of my Great Grandmother, Narcissus Johnson Alford and being my family historian, I located his death certificate but the information on that document just informed me that he passed in Greene County Georgia but there was nothing else. Rev. Anthony Johnson was the son of Rev. Anthony Johnson Sr. and Sara Peters Johnson.
Thank you again

Glad I could help and a bit disappointed that they were not in the Method one. Still have not found anyone linked to the McCullers buried in Method.
Have a great weekend!

|R & R||Oak Grove Cemetery - McCullers & Degraffenreidt|
I just wanted to let you know that I found some information.
Both of your McCullers that you placed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Method are actually in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Apex (creator misnamed its location as New Hills).
They can be found here:
Based on the death cert of Lonnie Degraffenreidt it seems that he is also buried in that cemetery.
It can be found here:
Lonnie has not been enter as of yet, but it is clear from the Google images that many headstones may not exist or are now gone.
I was wondering about his as I knew there are several Oak Groves around here and these individuals were not on the list the caretaker has for Oak Grove Method.
Hope this helps.
