RE: Jemima (Turner) Campbell
I was glad to transfer John W. Campbell's Otterbein Chapel Cemetery memorial to you. I'm very happy to have the poor guy connected to his family. I felt so sorry for him with just "J.W. Campbell Co. B 31st Infantry" on his cemetery marker and no other Campbells on my 1982 transcript of that cemetery. I did click on a request of a photo of his marker, so I hope it's still there. I've found that some of the markers from the 1982 transcript are either not there anymore or not readable. Sometimes a flat marker will fall over and get buried by lawn or woodsy debris in a cemetery. I'll let you add the new info. that needs to be added to John W. Campbell's memorial. I asked Sue Saylor of the Perry Co. OGS how she knew that Ephraim & Anna (Mauller) Turner were Jemima's parents, but except for that, I'll probably let you and Linda do the rest of the work on this, unless I stumble on something new. Good luck!

RE: Jemima (Turner) Campbell
I'd be very happy to give Linda your e-mail address. I don't think she's currently a Findagrave.com member. Since you're a direct descendant, do you want me to transfer the memorial I set up for your John W. Campbell to you? I linked his memorial to the one you have for Jemima. Then I asked Kyle to link Ida (Campbell) Shriner's memorial to Jemima and John as their dau. and to link Ida and Lewis Shriner as married. Sue Saylor, who's the corresponding secretary for the Perry Co. Chapter of the OGS told me that Jemima's parents were Ephram & Anna (Mauller) Turner, but I don't know her source for that. I asked her because I've been a member of that Chapter for many years. John & Jemima are not in the Perry Co. marriage index, so perhaps they m. in Hocking Co. shortly after the Civil War. Sue said Jemima was b. in Bloom Furnace, which I think is from her Perry Co. death record. At Ancestry.com, I found an 1880 Falls, Hocking Co. census for Ephraim P. & Anna Turner. They would have been the right age to be Jemima's parents and it has him b. MD and Anna b. PA, which would be consistent with most of Jemima's census records. I brought it to Linda's attention, also that it has Ephraim listed as a carpenter. I had an ancestor who was a carpenter. He moved his family around quite a bit, but maybe he and Anna ended up in either Hocking or Perry Co. They were in their 60's in 1880. Sharon

Jemima (Turner) Campbell
Hi - Are you related to Jemima (Turner) Campbell? I'm managing the memorial for her husband John W. Campbell and have been helping a great granddaughter of hers at Ancestry.com with some research on her line. Linda is descended through John W. & Jemima (Turner) Campbell's dau. Ida (Campbell) Shriner, wife of Lewis Shriner, who are buried next to Jemima Campbell.

Thank you so much for looking for the marker. He was such a great priest when he was in Newark I don't understand what is taking so long. Once again thanks for the help.
