Amanda Choate Find A Grave Memorial# 135690202
One of your images attached to Amanda Choate is on it's side. Hard to view as is. Can you fix that?

Amanda Choate is interred in the Bartol/Hall lot; the family purchased two strips on either side of lot 9341 (Lot 26131)

RE: Photo
Did your second Great Grandfather live anywhere near the Cedar Hill Cemetery? I'm presently doing an old cemetery near there. What's his name?

RE: Cannon & Helmus
I have the new photo but there are already 3 photos for each so if I put it up the bottom photo will automatically be deleted. I can't delete the middle photo as you are now maintaining the graves. If you would delete the middle photo, I'll post the new one.
Please let me know when you have done so.
Take Care,

I'll be going to tomorrow to try and find them again. It is a huge cemetery.

Central Burying Ground
I had done a lot of research on the tombs there, unfortunately I lost the info because my phone did not support all the links when I lost my hard drive and was reduced to my phone. There are no cenotaphs at Central. I see you were at Granary, I applaud your work, your awesome to do this, not easy. I am going to send you a message through Charlotte, I really wish you had email.

A cenotaph is when a person is memorialized, but not buried in a cemetery. An original burial is when a person is buried after death, a re-interment is when they are removed from the orig burial and re-buried in a different cemetery. None of my burials at Central Burying Ground are cenotaphs, they are orig burials. What you did was make a bunch of duplicates when you could have contacted me.

Good job, WHB. Thank you. I haven't linked her to her family yet, but I'll get to it.

Mary (Collyer) Bowden Collyer

I am interested in how you know this is the same Mary (Collyer) who married Samuel Bowden. I have not seen a death for Samuel Bowden in 1800. The Marblehead VR list the death for Samuel Bowden as 1840.

My line is through Mary and Samuel's daughter Ruth (Bowden) Gardner. This would explain why there are only 2 Bowden children and why I have not been able to find any further reference to Mary or Samuel.

Thanks for all of your time and effort.

Did you know that the photos at findagrave are scaled? If you click on the photo (the wide narrow one) it is much clearer and readable.

Alveretta Bartol
I don't know if I ever answered your question about Alveretta and Ethel. So just incase I will answer now.
You wanted to know how I found their burial info. It was found on their death records.
If you would like I can add the records to their memorial. This way you can print and show the cemetery the record.
Let me know if you want me to add the recors or not-

I live a thousand miles away from Marblehead now but wonder if you ever return to Old Burial Hill would you please photograph the headstone you photographed last summer while it was being repaired? The F.A.G Number is 66446478. Thanks for taking the photos.

RE: Charles Mehr
Thank you sir. I was quite shocked to hear of his passing as I didn't even know he was ill. Thank you so much for creating his page and keeping it up. I'm trying right now to get info about his other sister Betty who passed 2 years ago but doesn't appear to be on here. I'm going to create a page for her too.

RE: Dorothy Whiting #137458435
Great to see you have linked her father, # 46119653 . He was the first pastor of the First Congregational Church in Lynn, Massachusetts.

I've seen that Dorothy's mother was a first wife whose name is not known, and that two other children of the first wife died before Samuel married Elizabeth St. John.

Samuel and Elizabeth Whiting supposedly had four children who lived to adulthood:
Samuel Whiting (1633 - 1713)
John Whiting (1637 - 1689)
Joseph Whiting (1641 - 1723)
Elizabeth Whiting Hobart (1645 - 1733)

I'm sorry that I only have hearsay and no good sources for you to check.
