RE: ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
Thank you for the name. We will add him to our list. It is not required they be on Find A Grave, just served in the military, peace or war time and be buried at Westlawn-Hillcrest.

Please let others know of this project. The more people that know about it, the more complete our list will be. We know many that served in the military have no indication of their service on their grave.

Thanks again,
Carl and Carolyn Diamond

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Alice M.Miley Margerum
Hi, you will have to write Robert J. Stauffer Jr., he listed Alice M.Miley Margerum
in the cemetery in Missouri.

I'd like to suggest linking Mary F. Adams Miley Find A Grave #33234775 to her daughter, Alice M. Miley Margerum Find A Grave #8680599 who is buried at Oak Forest Cemetery in Birch Tree, Shannon County, Missouri. There is definitely a mix-up there in Oak Forest listings, as the Noble Miley who is buried there is stated to be Alice Miley Margerum's father and he was born in 1918 -- only 8 years after Alice's birth. I do think he might be a cousin of hers. Alice was adopted by someone?? when very young (her mother died the same year Alice was born.) There were five older children still living when her mother, Mary died in 1910. I have never been able to track Alice's father who was Nobel Miley (born about 1878 in Indiana.)

Susan Elizabeth "Bettie" Clarke
Hi Sue,

I came across the memorial of James Clayborn Flippin and noticed the marriage date is 1894 and his wife died in 1887.The wife listed is Rebecca Flippin 1866-1887.Is the wife listed as Rebecca really Susan Elizabeth Clarke? Or did he have another wife.I am a little confused by the marriage date being after the death date of the woman. Also do you have any marriage document on them?

RE: Adams Family Connection
Hi Sue,

Thanks for responding so quickly.Do you have an ancestry tree? it makes it somewhat easier to send invitations through to another member.Otherwise I could send it to your email address I think.I look forward to sharing Adams family history with you.I too am a descendant of Rev.Joshua Adams through his son Samuel Green Adams who was Lemina Jane Adams father.John Quincy was a brother to Samuel.I guess we would be distant cousins? :) Please let me know if you have a tree and you can send that info to my email address listed on here.I'll have to look on the website but I think invitations can also be sent through email addresses.

Kind Regards,
