RE: Sarah and Ann Curtis
You are most welcome. After several weeks of totally crappy weather it was good to get out and get some fresh air. The temperatures were in the 60's, which is ideal for me, and the snows have melted. God bless global warming!
I wasn't familiar with the area where the cemetery is located and since the place isn't listed in the county directory, I thought I'd ask some of the old-timers where it is. Well, the old-timer turned out to be my daughter who is a former school bus driver. Her route was the road on which the cemetary is and she had a daily layover for a half hour directly across the road from it. She would eat her lunch and read the tombstones while she waited. Of course, that wouldn't take long as there only about 2 dozen markers there and a lot of them are illegible from age. Ann's is in fairly good shape and Sarah's is barely readable. The most recent burial there took place in 1930.
Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, if only by findagrave, and if I can be of any further help, please don't hesitate to email me.
De colores.

You are so very welcome, I wish I could put it together for your family somehow, I hate seeing them broken as Samuel's. Merry Christmas to you and I am so happy that you were surprise.

Farrar and related families
Rosina Ward Farrar and Baby Farrar
Thank you for your notes on these two. The Memorials now have posts that there are no stones on the graves as of this month. Thank you for that info. If it is possible, at your convenience could you possibley take photos of the area of these two graves and post those pics. The reason is that it will show where they are buried and will also show that a photo is posted for this grave site, preventing any other Farrars requesting in the future, when looking at a list of Farrar names and requesting those withourt photos of their grave markers/graves. Many thanks for your efforts. You have been very kind.

Your Father??? I still have some photos from the day I was in the cemeteries that I am posting - e.g. Darline's mother and David Flack plus others. I also reshot the Diwoky markers and I want to see if the later pictures are better than the ones already shown. If so, I will add them, let you know they are there, and you can delete the one you like less. Let me know if there are others you identify and want. Another 100 degrees yesterday and today. Maybe cooler, even rain, in a few days if we can believe the prognosticators?

Henry Milotz question
I made the corrections you requested but I note you showed Henry as the son of Hans Melotz in lieu of Milotz. Was this another case of evolution or just a slip of the finger? Also, would you like me to transfer your family to you since I am no relation?

I did get into the cemeteies today. I did not get all of them done as there were quite a few and I work slower in the heat - about 100 today. Several of the other requests I had were indicated as unmarked but I have learned to not always go "by the book". Sadly, most of those were indeed unmarked but I found one that was not and that is why I continue to check. The cemeteries also need to be mowed so I had to use trimmers and broom to clear some for photos. All markers in Cedar Lawn, Ridgewood and Memorial Park must be ground level so they get overgrown between mowings. I did get the four Milotz markers photographed today and yes they are near the Acacia marker. Darline is apart and I think I know why. The marker shows her name as Darline Bradford Flack-Milotz. On one side is Hazel Bradford (Mother?) and on the other side is Lt. Flack who died in 1944. War widow and first husband??? I will try to get these photos posted in the next day or two.

Just let me know how I can help; I will try. Request any photos you would like. High temperatures are limiting my time somewhat but I will get the photos if someone else doesn't get them first; several folks here do them on a regular basis. I believe the two surnames I mentioned in Walnut Hill are unmarked graves but if you are interested in them, I will verify since the book sometimes has errors.

I believe your request is in the wrong cemetery. I believe he is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery along with Emma, Henry, and Darline Milotz. You might be interested to know, however, there is a J. T. Meals grave and a Kate Beers grave in Walnut Hill. I entered memorials for them if you would like to see the information from the Walnut Hill records. I also entered the three additional Milotz grves that are in Cedar Lawn. FYI: Cedar lawn, Memorial Park, Ridgewood, and Walnut Hill cemeteries are co-located and share the same owner. Paul

Hey Ruby. Do you have a burial location for this gentleman at Gracelawn? 1919-1976, Memorial 49025995. Any other Urquharts there? Thanks for checking for me. Twist

RE: Upthagrove/Updegraff
Hi Ruby,

Do you have a copy of June Lutz's book "History of the Op Den Graef / Updegraff Family"? In a cursory glance, I can't seem to find John Upthagrove in findagrave, but there is other Upthagrove information.

Marguerite Hawley
Ruby,
I appreciate very much your efforts to locate the grave marker for little Marguerite Hawley at Gracelawn. Thank you so much. It's a shame that her grave has no marker. I'm familiar with the Seeking Michigan site and use it all the time! Thanks for the tip, just the same.
