Hazen Gott's parents
Hi Ron, yes his father was William Gott, found in the 1820 Crawford Co. Indiana census. Which Ancestry.com has missed and not added it to their Crawford Co Census. And in the 1850 Crawford County Census was a Elizabeth Gott listed with Hazen and Family in her 70's. So we think this is his mom. Don't know her maiden name though. Thanks carol Sellers

Gott's
Do you have any information on a Charlie Got who married Willie Hutson. The had a son, Herman Gott, born 1899. I think that was the year. Lived Hill county, buried in Abbott. Willie is anyway.

RE: Samuel Gott
There would be a lot of folks unmemeorialized were it not for folks willing to go out and "mow the rows". I've tried for good photos, but I have always been of the opinion that any photo is better than no photo at all. And I have no problem with someone coming along and taking a better one. Were it not for folks with large numbers willing to put in the work, this database would be far smaller and far less useful for all of us. I likely never would have found my wife's great grandmother had it not been for someone taking the time to enter the cemtery near her home in rural Iowa, even though she was related to none of the people buried there.

RE: Samuel Gott
Ron: We got it fixed. They have given an aka of Gott, which should be searchable (may take a day or two for the system to cycle). I'm still leaving the surname as Got, as following the marker is a firm rule on the site for the surname. This avoids duplicates being entered by "mowing the rows" in a cemtery.

RE: Samuel Gott
Ron: The findagrave rule is to follow the marker spelling and explain it in the bio. That does cause problems sometimes with colonial spellings (you should see the variations for Gilbert). But since the main way to enter is by "mowing the rows", they had to pick one preferred style.

The photograph shows the placement within the cemetery and has a very nice view. I assume you are related so I deleted it.

You sound like family so Edmond W. "Bud" Gott is now in your care.

After all who better to tell the dearly departed life story then their own kinfolk.

Maggie
Samuel S Gott
Ron,
If there is no stone for him in the Lott Cemetery, then my guess is that he is in the Powers Chapel cemetery. Sometimes death records are incorrect as to the place of burial. Lott and Powers Chapel are not that far apart, really.
If he is your kin, I'll be glad to transfer him to you.
Thanks,
Maggie

Ron, I am sorry but I don't have any more information and that is all we can read on the stone.

You could contact the Ozaukee historical society in Cedarburg for more information. They are open on Tuesdays.

Good Luck

RE: William Schulock #71951179
Got it transfered; thanks for letting me know. Found another Shulock buried in Old Sonora City Cemetery and have added her. Leaving the spelling on William's name as is with reference to other spelling until I know more. Easy for the old records to not have correct spelling of a name. Found this out many times.

Eliza
John Albert Banks (Milton Cemetery)
Hi, Mr. Gott. I see that you have claimed my request for a photo of John's grave marker (assuming that there is one). I sure do appreciate you taking time to fulfill this request. While you're out there, I wonder if you would keep an eye open for a burial that might be nearby John's grave. Elizabeth Jane (Hurley) Banks was John's wife and she seems to simply have disappeared from records after her husband's death. I figure that maybe she remarried, but it's also possible that she died around the same time as John. If she is there next to John, would you please also photograph her marker and then let me know so I can build a memorial for her? Thanks in advance!

Morning Ron,

Thanks for the note. I connected her paretns per your wishes. I knew where her dad was buried but had been looking for her mom - I did not know she had died in Stockton. I am close to Avis' son Ken (as well as being 1st cousins) and have sent him a note about where his grandmother is buried.

Sommer Family
Hi Ron,

You have done a fabulous job linking the Sommer family together. I am not related to any of the Sommer's except Alma Weigum Sommer and her descendents.

I think it is more appropriate that you retain maintenance of this family, since you know so much more about them.

Best regards,
Don
