Thank you so much for photographing my mother's grandmother's headstone. Mother is 87 now and cannot
travel to this grave, but was able to visit it on line today, amazing! Mother attended grandmas funeral there and says her baby sister LaNora May Conner (b.Feb 1922 d.Dec 1922)is buried beside Minnie Conner-Clabber (it's a little lamb statue memorial). Curious if anyone saw such a statute for LaNora Conner at the time Minnie Conners memorial was photographed? Minnie(nee)Greenback-Conner-Clabber was married (30 Oct 1914) to one of the Quapaw Indian Chiefs Peter Clabber.

Thank you so much Michelle for the photo. Lanny J Johnson was my father. And I know that I will never make it back to Arkansas to see him. His 2nd wife Sharon as you know died before him and then last year my father joined her. Thank you so so much.

RE: R.Wilson Photo
I found some more information about that photo of R. Wilson you took at the Ottawa Indian Cemetery. I think it was for "Rose Ann." If you have a chance to look at the headstone again can you see the smaller letters next to the "R" -- I'm trying to make out what it might say there to see if it is anything close for an abbreviation for "Rose Ann." My dates don't match up exactly (death of 3 April 1870 vs. 30th) but it is very close so I think it may be her burial site unless John Wilson had another child R. Wilson with the same death month and year as her.

RE: R.Wilson Photo
Yes! It looked like they shared a headstone in the photo, but I needed to make sure. The Chief was actually kicked by his horse when he was in Kansas or en route to Oklahoma. He died from the injuries he suffered and was buried where you found his son's grave for me. I have been trying to substantiate the relationship of R. Wilson and a Sallie Wilson to their father, Chief John Wilson. I have never been there so all of that other information about the Pow Wow grounds and the cedar tree is very helpful! Thanks again!
