Tricia the Spirit Chaser🌺
RE: Florence P Jordan Lewis
Bless you! People send the wrong information ALL the time. They just get on ancestry.com or familysearch.org and think that the "trees" posted on their websites are correct and they are only contributor submitted, most don't document, they just copy someone elses work which may or may not be correct.
I check census, death certificates, birth indexes, anything I can to verify and I am thankful when someone appreciates it! Have a great Thanksgiving!🍗

Please send that link back to her mother, and I will link them. I just checked her d/c and you are certainly correct. Do you have a link to her father as well?

RE: Photo Request
You are very welcome. I was in Trimble, Nancy, etc. for almost 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it rained almost every day so I could only get through 3 cemeteries. I looked at your photo requests just now and see that you have the Porter and Ford Cemeteries listed. I also have people there; however, Porter is on someone's fenced private land with just a path to it. I couldn't get in there. I live in Texas so it will be quite some time before I can get back there, but if I do, I'll try to get your pictures. I got 200 pictures this time and have many more to get in Pulaski county. Some of the cemeteries are very hard to find. Have a Merry Christmas.

Williams and Willis families
Thanks so much, my Williams family married into the Willis family many times. Burley Williams, son of Richard Williams Jr. and Martha Willis Williams moved to Taylor Co. KY along with many members of his Willis family. Richard Jr. died young. Richard Williams Jr. was the son of Richard Williams, Sr. and Mary Ann Spears Williams and a brother to my gr gr grandfather, Miles Williams.

Yes, that is the tall one with all 3 :) I know the smaller one probably doesnt have significance because its not actually where their buried (or are they) but I though it was neat.

I added the picture of Walter. Those were the only 3 names and info listed on it. The white smaller statue on the side of it only listed the name nothing else unless at one time it said something else.

Atkinson photo requests at Laurel Land
Hi, the volunteers would be happy to fill your photo request however we will need a burial location to do so.

The number is 214 371 1336 or to contact them and have them email you the locations, the link to their website to fill out the form is: http://www.laurellanddallas.com/home/contact_us.html

They are good about responding to the email request! There are over 9 photo requests currently and the volunteers cannot ask for that many locations to fill requests. With a location, your request will get filled pretty quickly. Thanks for your help

Sarah Quisenberry
You made a request for photo of Sarah Quisenberry in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY.
Just a heads up, if you go to the website for Lexington Cemetery, at www.lexcem.org,
you will find more information on your Sarah. When you get to the Cemetery page, click on Genealogy tab, then research the name.
This is what they have:
Name: Mrs. Sarah Quisenberry
City, State Near Avon, Ky
Date of Birth
Date of Death
Age at Death Adult
Burial Date 5/21/1898
Disposition Number 13148
Funeral Director
Cremation Date:
Cremation Number:
Interment Location
Section: J
Lot: 87
Part:
Grave:
This is what the internet has on Avon, KY:
Avon is a Fayette county community at Briar Hill Road (KY 57) and Haley Pike near the Bourbon county line. It was once Avon Station on the Kentucky Union Railroad. The source of the name is obscure. In 1941 the Lexington Blue Grass Ordinance Depot was opened in Avon. It has since been turned over to state control and is primarily an industrial park and is known as Bluegrass Station. The Avon post office operated from 1890 until 1913.
It never hurts to do a little background research with the clues you have.
Sarah was obviously married, and you might find an obit for her in a Lexington newspaper for last week of May 1898, or first week of June.
The main library in Lexington has the films of newspapers, and you might get them on interlibrary loan.

I am re-posting the request for photos for both of these persons. One of the existing photos is very difficult to read and the other is unreadable. Please do not tell Findagrave that the photos are already posted so that they delete my request for a re-take.

Thanks

RE: John Tandy Bailey
Hi,

James Bailey was my great great grandfather. He was born Sept 24, 1824 in Harlan Co., KY. He was killed by Indians on July 9, 1962 at Antelope Springs, NV.

I have a few differences from your data. Not sure if they are correct or not, but in the for what it's worth category.

David (son of John Tandy and Kesiah Tunnell Bailey) - died before 1860

Daughter born 1832 - no name. Could be Martha J.

Do not have a Thomas Bailey. Have a William Tandy Bailey - b 1834 d 1910 Eureka Spgs.

I do have an Ancestry acct. csullivan2801

Thanks for the info.

RE: John Tandy Bailey
Hi,

I have a few things in my Bailey history that were different from the findagrave site. Not sure about the accuracy, but food for thought.

John Tandy Bailey -
Mother was __ Tandy
Had a son in 1820 - name unknown
Had a daughter in 1832 - maybe Thomas, maybe a twin
Had a son David(b. 1844, d before 1860) - maybe Rhonda, maybe a twin.

Thanks for sharing.
