Lydia Hoffman Dandy
Well, perhaps your Lydia Ann's maiden name is Hoffman, a Hoffman daughter as you say... How did she get linked up to Isaac and Lydia Ann (Hollar) Clinedinst as her parents?? How does that make he a Hoffman daughter?? Their daughter is Lydia Ann (Clinedist) Hoffman. She was born in VA in 1840 and she married Nimrod Milton Hoffman on 27 Jan 1864 in Shenandoah, VA... She died in 1865 (according to the memorial)... The only thing common about the two is one is a maiden Lydia Ann Hoffman and the other is a married Lydia Ann Hoffman... Lydia Ann (Clindist) Hoffman's entire family is all from VA... I think we have two totally different people here with the same first and middle name. And your Lydia is linked to the wrong set of parents... That may not be your doing, though, since you say you had he meorial transferred to you. Look at Lydia Ann (Clinedist) Hoffman's memorial # 152550296. I do believe that Lydia is the right daughter of the Clinedists and your Lydia needs to be linked to her Hoffman parents in Maryland somewhere... I can't find death records on either, but the great news is you can fix it, since you know who her Hoffman parents were supposed to be.

I hope this helps,

RE: Plot P
Tina,

Mary Ogle: 10/2/1873
Helen S. Ogle: 7/5/1872 @ 11m
May D. Ogle: 2/6/1879 @ 38y
George H. Ogle: 11/10/1905 @ 30y/3m/15d
George A. Ogle: 8/19/1907 @ 65y
Charles J. Ogle: 7/28/1932 @ 53y/5m/29d
Dora G. Ogle: 3/22/1960 @ 77y (cremated 3/8/1960 at Greenmount Cemetery and ashes scattered at P-146)
A. S. Ogle: 3/28/1973 @ 76y
Mary O. Jennings: 5/4/1905 @ 22y

Mary DesForges: 9/17/1873 @ 18y
Julia DesForges: 10/2/1873 @ 4y ("Removed from Country")
John P. DesForges: 1/22/1880 @ 55y
Mary J. DesForges: 4/3/1898 @ 75
Harriett A. Hayden: 10/24/1890 @ 66?

Hope this helps. Some of the dates may not be quite right; the microfilm records were not always very good quality.

Regards,
Joe

RE: rust
Hi, Tina!

Lucky for you that I'm one of those types who can't just go out, take a photo, post it and be done with it.

There are several others in the plot. Here's their info as posted on Campbell County GenWeb:

Stella V. Rust - Rust, Stella br-5-24-1948 (Ashes in concrete); Sec-16, lot-53; single; place of death-Los Angeles; LO-J F Rust; NR-Charles E Mc Clair, National City, CA (Stella's marker has an incomplete year of death; "19__")

Georgia Ogle Rust - How about that middle name, huh? Rust, Georgia O d-5-29-1943; br-6-12-1943; age-8-17-1870; Sec-16, lot-53; parents-J Franklin and Thodicia Rust; born-Newport; single; place of death-Los Angeles CA; LO-J F Rust; NR-Stella V Rust, 3123 Brighton Ave, Los Angeles

Theodocia Rust - Rust, Theodocia br-5-26-1923; Sec-16, lot-53; no other data

J. Franklin Rust Rust, J Franklin b-Maryland; a-67y; s/o Levi & Mary; d-20 Aug 1910 at 64 Mt Pleasant Ave in Ft Thomas; br-23 Aug at 3PM in his own lot 53 section 16

Oscar Rust - Rust, Oscar b-Newport; a-21y; s/o Theodicia & J Franklin; d-12 Oct 1895 in Newport of typhoid fever; br-15 Oct; Sec-16, lot-53; P#2549.

I took photos of all of them. There are some similar markers in a neighboring plot; the Kruse family. Any connaction?

I'll get these all tied together and transfer to you.

Best regards,

Rob

WESSELs
Hi. I have a second cousin, a Wessel, who is interested in learning more about his family. You have several memorials for them. Is there a connection that you know of? In particular I am interest in Ernest Edward Wessel's line - you have his father's and mother's memorials.

I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: George Atkinson
Anytime I get an adoptee client that comes to me in search of their birth parents and family once they get a copy of their non certified original birth certificate and they get names and they start looking for grandparents etc.... We search ancestry.com, census records and then Find A Grave. I always leave a flower for someone that I am asked to leave a flower on. I do that for my own family too. I just wait until I get an adoptee that asks for my help.

RE: George Atkinson
I appreciate that. I work with adult adoptees in search of their birth parents and families. When I find a family member for an adoptee I make sure I leave a flower in honor of their family who was in search. I also leave flowers for my own family members.

Hi Tina,
You are welcome for the picture. I'm sure that is the plot. Too bad there is no marker.
Check you 'edits' tab and approve your edits as I added the plot number.

RE: London park section r
Tina,

The plot that is most relevant to your family is R-344 West-half. Here is the list of those buried there:

Henry Precht: buried 6/29/1974 at age 67
Mazie Staylor Precht: 9/15/1982 @ 74y
Child of Mazie and Henry Precht: 3/3/1933 stillborn
Moses Atkinson: 1/27/1927 @ 75y/5m/18d
Henrietta Atkinson: 3/10/1934 @ 81y/27d
Mazie E. Staylor: 1/30/1969 @ 85y
Vincent L. Staylor: 10/21/1907 @ 29y
Nettie Atkinson: 9/6/1945 @ 63y/2m/19d

In R-344 East-half are surnames Adams, Huf, Whiteleather, and Neugent. In R-343 are surnames Lucas and Lerch. Let me know if you are interested in the details on any of these names.

Tina,

I might, but it has been a while since I researched that plot, so I will have to dig through my records. If I can't find anything, I can get that information next time I get some time with the microfilm.

Joe

I looked @ the library today and found nothing in the cemetery book. without knowing exactly were they are I can't find them, I have a hard time moving around and standing that long. I will still keep an eye out for them, and maybe some other Find A Grave person will find them.

Tina,

Theoretically it should be possible to find out who is buried in Whatcoat 596-600, but as I recall the microfilm records stop halfway through the Whatcoat section. I will make sure one way or the other next time I check the records.

Can you send me more details on the McGowans(birth and death dates)? I might be able to find them in the alphabetical records.

Regards,
Joe

I live in Kilmarnock so I am familiar with Palmer and the surrounding area, however I am not related to any of the families you mentioned.
I'm sorry I can't help you with any of the families you are interested in.

Disney, Hammond, Dillehunt, etc.
Tina,

Earl Disney has been transferred to you.

On your photo request for John Hammond you said you couldn't find the Sharon section. Were you having trouble finding the plot in Sharon, or trouble finding the Sharon section? Do you have a location within Sharon? I can give you directions to Sharon or look up in the records to find the plot number, as needed.

Joe

Thx,
