Chambers' Tombstones
Jennifer, Thanks for obtaining and uploading the Chambers' tombstones - Edward and Willie. I appreciate your efforts in locating Edward's tombstone. I was not aware that Willie Joan had died and am grateful that you uploaded her tombstone as well. Thanks again.

Annie and Robert Brown (Gibbs)
Jennifer I am sorry for the wrong information on my request. I reread Richetta Gibbs obit and discoved that they are buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba, Mississippi. It is located behind the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church/Lauderdale Toomsuba Rd. This Cemetery is not listed in Find A Grave. I don't know how to add this Cemetery to the list. Again thanks for looking.

RE: Transfer
Jennifer

I was afraid that might happen. This field is also HTML active, so the result of the code showed but not the code.

Go to the Find A Grave pages and check:

How do I add a link from one memorial to another?

The code and a more detailed explanation may be found there.

RE: Transfer
Jennifer

You're quite welcome!

The standard links available through the "Family Links" function on a memorial is parents, spouses and children. In order to do the links, bio, Etc for a memorial, you need to have the maintenance of the memorials. Parents are linked from the child's memorial. Spouses can be linked from either spouse.

Now, most fields in the memorials are HTML active so you can add other links in, say, the bio for siblings if desired. To do this, use the following HTML:

Name

where the xxxxxx's are replaced by the memorial # you wan to link to and replace "Name" with the name for the link. Keep in mind this link is not reciprocal.

Hi Jennifer..Thanks for adding photos for your grandmother and welcome to Find A Grave. You stumbled onto a great site for genealogy. My great grandmother was a Ford from Anniston, AL and later lived in Clarke County, MS. Anyway, I linked Alice to her parents and transferred her maintenance to you. Caretaker

RE: Ford info
Jennifer:
The following contacts may be helpful:
Joseph Stevens Papa_Joe_Pat@bellsouth.net
Homer Ford Lordofcb@hotmail.co
Sidney Ford Tatom Redwing1929@comcast.net

Joe is my brother-in-law and has done a lot of research on the Ford's. He lives in Linden which is not too far from "ford Town" in Choctaw County,Al
Homer is a very distant cousin now living in Austraila but has a wealth of Ford family info.
Sidney is the author of the book "The Fords of Fairfield County" which is in South Carolina. The book is no longer in print but the library in Butler has a copy that is available for review on-site. The book would be a very good starting place. Mrs Tatom is now working on volume II which I hope will be available next year.

You may want to visit the Eureka cemetary on-line at the Find A Grave Web Site. Most of my ancestors on my dads side are interred there. Others are at Christophers Chapel which is available on the same web site.

If you would like you can reach me at wcford4@comcast.net.

Good Luck,
Wallace

RE: William H Ford
Your reply to the ancestory of the FORDS,

To give you a start go to Seward Ford memorial at Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery and follow his parents, grandparents, etc to William H Ford,(my great great great grandfather) b1820 d 1865 during War Between the States and buried in Camp Chase, Ohio. (on Find A Grave)
There are several W H Ford's listed in Choctaw County so that can mislead you but check the b&d dates when you come across a Wiliam or W H Ford.
Eureka Bapt Church is located at Cromwell, AL also called Fordtown. Also in earlier years it was a Post Office station and called Alpha, AL.
Let me know if this information helped you and if I can help in any other way.
