Hi again...found family book again
Haven't forgotten about you, been either sick, lazy, or busy. Anyway, went to see parents last week for the first time in over a year; did some research in book and found both of us.
If I have your name correctly you are #3d5b5 on page 192; I am #3d2a1 on page 187. Really great to be able to study it again; had forgotten how many pix of both sides of the pond were in it.
The mystery that my dad and I are working on has to do w/ my grandmother's first husband who died of an illness in 1912 and is buried near Mankato; he has a F-A-G entry and supposedly an obit in the Mankato newspaper archives. Wish me luck.
Hope you are well and that any searches you do are productive.

I was able to locate Karen's grave. I am photographing the entire Lake Ripley cemetery, she is in the last row of the last section to be photographed, I did Hans and Tilla also. Barb

The cemetery listing doesn't show any cemetery under the name of Hopkins. Do you mean you have his name on Find A Grave? If so, what is his number?

Kiki, I just took a photo of Sjur Reque at Coon Prairie. There already is a memorial made for him, the headstone has his name as Syver Reque 1866-1930.
Your memorial was made later. I would contact the person who made the memorial and ask to have it transferred to you. Then add all your information.

RE: Pix etc
My Dad probably has all of the pix of my Grandma but I'll look through what I have. I need to learn computer photo management so this would be a good start.

Pix etc
Didn't go down to see parents as planned b/c found out they were going to be out of town. Going to Branson Memorial Day weekend for family wingding including my Dad's sister my Aunt Barbara that I haven't seen in probably 30 yrs.
Saw the picture of your Grandma on her F-A-G page; she and my grandmother looked exactly alike!!!
Take care,

RE: Hi , Cuz!!
Hope you are having a good, peaceful Sunday.
Re pix: I am going down to the city where my parents live (3.5-4 hrs away) next weekend for Mother's Day (my mother is 84 and an orthopedic wreck/breast cancer survivor but her mind is better than fine--her family also has extensive F-A-G entries). I will try to remember to ask my Dad about pix; I know he has a ton of them--or growing-up was very well documented.
Till later,

RE: Hi , Cuz!!
Great to hear back from you--you and I must be about the same age to have similar lisings in the book.
Anyway, I am Mary Evelyn Kurtz x x Sanders; I now live in west suburban Kansas City w/ my daughter but have lived in assortment of places. I just moved here after 10 yrs in Cincinnati but I grew up/raised my daughter in Springfield, Mo.
Have never made it to the Pacific Northwest but my daughter was married to a fellow (at the time) sailor who was from one of the major islands in Puget Sound (forget which one); they honeymooned up there and she told me I would LOVE it.
Thanks again,

Did some more digging and found out that we are second cousins--your grandmother's sister Ellen was my grandmother!!
Can't wait to find out more.

My paternal grandparents---maybe you and I are related??
My father (still very well and active at 87; can outrun me any time) also has a copy of my great-uncle Lester's geneology (sp??); I am one of the last listing of that family branch b/c my sibs were all born after it was published--will try to find book when I visit for Mother's Day.
Thanks very much for all of your hard work!!

I have been a volunteer at Crystal Cemetery. The office is now limiting the number of searches per person, not per day. So this means I have ran out of options to call the office for plot section # and lot # information without having to pay for it. Can you help me? If you call the office 612-521-7619 they are very helpful. If you limit your qty less than 4 requests you should have no problem getting the information. Please add the Section #, Lot # info into the memorial, I and others will claim them.
Thanks, Troy

RE: Caroline Morgan
You're welcome. I'm working on photographing that entire cemetery before winter and I did that section a few weeks ago. I'll take a wider shot next time I'm down there.

Denis Julian Larson
I first called and they said they had no Denis but a Christine and Charles, I told her we were going to come by and look around. Before we got there she had her crew go over to Larson area and dig around to see if they could find a covered grave. I found him on Ancestry as living on Rich Ave here and a death record but no funeral home or cemetary. Do you have any other information about him??? They said the would try and find more records also.
