RE: Obituary
That's great, thank you, and his name is Leslie Lamb Cooper (5/4/1890-8/8/1957) and he died in Glacier County, MT. He was my 1st cousin 3x removed's husband. Hope this helps.

Thank you,
Dustin Schrull

Hey do you live in Glacier County, MT? Because one of my distant cousin's husband died in Glacier County, MT, and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

Luther Porter
Hi Bob and Fran,

Thank you for all your hard work.

Luther Porter most likely had a son named Noah Porter (1826-1887). On 27 March 1849, in Ferrisburg, Vermont, Noah Porter married Gula (Julia) Alma Cram, daughter of Oren Cram and his Charlotte West Newell. Sometime in the 1850s, Noah moved with his wife Gula to Iowa where their son Luther Oren Porter born in 1856.
Noah and Gula had other children, too. Noah served in the Civil War. Sometime after the War, Noah and Gula separated. In 1868, Noah married Elizabeth Ayers in Schuyler County,

Hope this information can help people researching the PORTER family.

Georgia Nelms
Lorin Thompson photo
Bob and Fran, I am a descendant of Lorin Thompson and wife Caroline Milburn. I am trying to get a better copy of the photo you put on this site. The photo is great for viewing on a computer, but in order to print it, it needs to be higher quality--more pixels, I guess. Is there a way for us to get in touch with whomever actually owns the original photo?

Thanks for posting.....I appreciate it! Georgia

Caroline Thompson
I noticed you added a photo for the Lorin and Caroline Thompson family. Caroline was a Milburn and I am descended from her brother. Would love to correspond with you.
Thank you

Audrey Mae Schwenke Vogel
Thank you very much for finding & adding the gravestone photo of Audrey Mae Schwenke Vogel. I have just requested a photo of her husband George Leonard Motarie - Find A Grave Memorial # 121855211. If you would like to take that request & add the same photo that you took of Audrey, that would be great.

Crown Hill Cemetery
Dear Bob and Fran:

We have just found out that my grandfather Elroy Huffman is buried in a Cut Bank cemetery. He died on Dec 18, 1929. We are almost sure this has to be the cemetery as it has other's buried in the same time period. Could I have permission to use one of your pictures of Crown Hill Cemetery to put on his memorial? And if you live in that area do you think you could see if there is a headstone for him? This would be so appreciated.

Sincerely: Haven L. Huffman

Let me know if you have more information for me to add to his memorial, I love the pictures!

Thanks for the info on this family - I have transferred all Porters to you. I had only taken an interest in them because Alan Lathrop had added all those wonderful photos with stones so damaged, he did not have vital info; so I had sent it to him - glad to see a family come along to care for them! ~Shirleen

Vermont Porters
Hi Fran,
I don't mind doing the updates but was thinking that if you are family and would like me to transfer any or all of the Porters I would also be happy to do that. I am not related at all to the family. Which ever you like let me know and I will do the updates or transfer.
Thanks again, Alan

Thanks for the corrections on Deborah. Was Dayton her maiden name or was that a nick name? I will add Dayton to her site where ever it belongs. I don't find anything on her and in quick search it looks like all the children have Polly as the mother which would not be right if she died in 1841.
