Is there a way we can arrange for me to get a copy of the photos and what information you might have of the Davis family. So I can pull it together for my children and brothers?

Aunt Ruth lived on Eynon St. I remember walking down the Alley to Aunt Ruth's to get plums. I called Aunt Claire West (everyone was our Aunt or Uncle since my mom was the only child) and told her about my mom passing 30 April. I have a Picture of Aunt Ruth, my mom and Nana at the Housman wedding. But If you can scan any photos you have and send them to me I would love them.

great photo of the siblings
My grandfather is Alfred Davis. He is the son of Benjamin Samuel Davis. Benjamin Samuel Davis is the son of Robert and Mary Davis. I would love to have a copy of any photos you might have of the family. I have a family tree on ancestry.com. I'm fillng in photos of the family. But I don't have a lot of the Davis side. Please let me know if you will share.

I approved all current requests. Hope that helps. Unfortunately, Findagrave doesn't tell me when there's a request.

Lina Estella Cray
Leslie,
I am researching the life and death of Lina Estella Cray. You posted her grave.
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSfn=Lina&GSiman=1&GScid=100133&GRid=102321618&

I am currently in the Somerset Valley Players production of Footloose, and a lot of weird stuff is happening. There are rumors that a little girl named Lina (Lena, maybe) is haunting the theatre. She supposedly went to the playhouse when it was a schoolhouse. We call her "Little Girl Blue". I did some research, and the only grave nearby that matches the description is the one you posted about. I was wondering if there is anything you could tell me about her. How did she die? Did she go to the schoolhouse? Anything at all would be helpful.

Thank you,
Jay

RE: Thank-you for finding this grave
Dear Leslie,
Another clarification, I am descended from William C. Hockenbury and he was one of many children of William H and Rebcca E. The father remarried Amy and had 4 more children that grew to adult. William C. moved to Illinois with a sister and that is why the family lost contact with the other New Jersey relatives. Thanks, Diana

Rebecca Elizabeth Crate same person
Hi Leslie,
Rebecca E. Crate is the same person as Elizabeth Crate. Her children referred to her as Elizabeth so I think that she used her middle name except for legal issues. Also, her children said their father, William H. was born in Holland and born in New Jersey!! I wonder if it had something to do with the war that he did not want it known that he was not born in the US. Anyway, that is the same person too. It will be wonderful if you can find his parent's grave. Our family tradition says his mother was named Mary, but that could be just the name she went by like Rebecca used Elizabeth. He did have at least one sibling, a sister, so maybe that grave is there too. Thank-you so much for searching this all out. It is exciting to have their markers now. Maybe others will appear as well. Diana

Thank-you for finding this grave
I am a descendant of William H Hockenbury and Rebecca Crate. So glad to see their marker. Do you know anything about William's parents or siblings? That info is not in our family history and since he came from Holland as a child we do not know his lineage. I was able to trace Rebecca back to the Roosevelts in 1600! That was sweet. Thank-you, Diana
