|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Thank you for your very quick response for my requests for photos for John M. and Rose S. Palmer and for Russell T. and Delyne Palmer. I am so pleased to be able to see their beautiful headstones.
My mother once told me that she thought John was her favorite uncle, even though she seldom got to see him. Colorado was pretty far to travel.

Hi Jennifer, So glad you found it a pleasant experience. Printed those out last night even though the memorials are not complete, but will go back and redo on that one. Tim Hess put up a Tony Bragg, but didn't have the particulars and seems to be a bit uncertain about adding information per his bio, so went with LGS version instead. Thanks so much!

Hi Jennifer and thanks ever so much for gathering up the rest of my cousin's family! It's very much appreciated. Too bad no marker was found for Sarah, not sure where I got that information, but it is what it is. Will see what I can do to get them sorted out and see if LGS will add info or transfer to me in a few days. Sandra

Hi Jennifer, Fighting the battle today between a very slow connection and other computer issues, bleh. Anyway, thank you so much for getting George's photo. He and his sister Irene were/are my fourth cousins through their maternal grandmother, Ella Williamson. I knew him personally when I first began research and had many good visits with him over the phone after, but as so often happens we'd lost touch several years ago. When I went to look for him last night, I suspected he'd passed away but it's still a loss. He was rather older than I thought too. A private person, he didn't tell me much about his connection to my family but had done extensive work on the Williamsons and I knew he had a Snedaker connection - Ella's mother was a Snedaker. Respecting his privacy, I did not inquire further but have his line now. Found him first with his Uncle Peter (wife Margaret) as you found in the cemetery lot in 1940, which is just now indexed for Colorado. He mentioned his grandmother raising him too since his mother died when he was very young - 1922 I think. Anton and his wife were his paternal grandparents I suppose, but need to research that further. I should really do this and get those memorials up so there is a home for your photos! Will try to do that this weekend if I can. Thanks again! Sandra

I have to post a photo or the request will remain unfulfilled and never go away. You need to delete the photo you posted as you should not have posted it after your claim had expired and was claimed by someone else.

Thank you, Jennifer. We went to the cemetery on Saturday. I had a map and thought we were close to the area, but will have to go and meet with someone who can show us for sure. I found a phone number, so will call to make an appointment. Seth Terry is my husband's great, great grandfather. Our family gave Seth's personal papers and other collections to the museum. I need to make an appointment there as well. When we were there last none of the things were displayed. Thanks again. LINDA Terry

Hi Jennifer, I received our message from findagrave and yes would like to see the unmarked area and if you could give me an idea about where it is in the cemetery. Her husband was Seth Terry who is in a family plot in the same cemetery. They were married 1899 for two years when he passed away. Is her unmarked area near there? Thank you very much for your help. Linda Terry
