I've transfer all five to you...

Golden Family at Calvary, Waltham
Hi Julie,

I took the photo of the Golden plot today. The three children do not have headstones, nor are the listed on the large headstone. I can add the photo to their memorials with a note that this is their burial place if you want, please let me know. Also, there is a name on the back of the headstone that is not listed on Find a Grave - Marcella Garry 1870 - 1958, let me know if you would like to create this memorial and I am happy to add the photo. Thanks.

Hi Julie,
I'm sorry for the long delay. I was working overtime nonstop 7 days a week for the upcoming election. I have the weekend off and I noticed that someone else had taken a photo in the new location. It is too bad that there is no stone. Maybe you can call the office and ask them to please remove the cross from the old location and place it at the new location. Good luck!

Do you have the date of the papers and the name of the paper the obits was in ??

I will get a copy of this to you soon. Tomorrow I am tied up almost all day at the doc. with my husband.

To clarify my earlier mistake, when I first went to take pics I started with #2 in error. I entered a gate that didn't specify which one it was and I just started taking pics because rain was nearing, time was short and I just wanted to get on with it. Anyway the "wall" was in the 2nd one I took pics of which was actually St. Joseph's #2. That's why I sometimes get them mixed up in my feeble brain. lol

Ignore that last message. I am thinking backward. #1 is the correct one.

I am on where you can see and print newspapers...I find a lot from the New Orleans newspapers. I found a listing in the September 8, 1878 paper listing the deaths and his was one of them. Couldn't find one where they listed Kate.

Do you want me to scan it and send it to you?? If so, send me your email, ok?

FYI, the mausoleum "wall" is in St. Joseph's #2 - not #1.

I happened to drive down to N.O. today with my husband while he went to some jobsites and afterwards, I had him take me to this cemetery that had an office that helped me before. They unfortunately did not have records pertaining to St. Joseph's (I couldn't remember which ones they helped me with). The woman there told me to check with the office for St. Patrick's cemetery which was about 1/2 mile nearby. I went there and they couldn't find any records back into the 1870's. They told me they took over the books for that cemetery in 1967 and records back then were handwritten and so now are falling apart, etc. The man who helped me turned me over to a woman there who he said was a "miracle worker" (she found stuff somehow that he couldn't). Then my husband was in a hurry to get to the next jobsite which was in Baton Rouge, so I left my name and number with her and she was to look for info and call me back. So far I haven't heard anything from her. She also gave me the phone number of the office that keeps the "archives". I just haven't been able to call them yet.

I will try to get down to the main library soon and check out that interment record you mentioned.

I'll keep you informed.

Ok, I see now the problem. My husband says that yes, they do add more people over time to the same "slot" I don't know what you call it. I will try to call these people and knock some sense into them. If not, then I don't know what we'll do.

On that kind of order, I have some requests for pics in a cemetery up here in Tangipahoa parish that is on a commercially owned property that was once a gardens, like Busch gardens. You should see the gyrations you have to go to and beg just to have them hear you out on what you want. Then they gave me this huge spiel about how people was out there in the 60's and wrote down all the inscriptions. When I was there it was deer season and they wouldn't take anyone back there to the cemetery (by the way, they have several cemeteries on their property).

I got so aggravated I haven't been back. I told her that she acted like she didn't want anyone to have ACTUAL PICTURES OF THE ACTUAL BURIAL SITE of these peoples loved ones! I think that is kin to a crime in my eyes. I also told her she was "holding them hostage".

It didn't make a wit of difference.

If you don't care, you just don't care.

Happily I persist in my ventures....

Julie, I posted pics of #57 and #60 on Kate and Gregory's mausoleum door. If you don't want these on the memorial, please let me know and I will remove them.

These were taken September 18, 2014 and show what they look like now.

Again, let me know if you want them removed.

Thank you,

Cathy Faust

I will go again once they put the plastic cross up. The office told me that they had run out of crosses and had them on order. I will check with them next week and I will order the cross to be placed on the grave. Then I will shoot the photo. I don't know how long this will take so please be patient. Take care and good luck!

I'm sorry about that Julie. Why don't you ask the office if they can mark the grave using a plastic cross with his name on it? They will do it if you ask.I believe thak they are currently out of the crosses but you can call and ask when they will have them in stock.

Most of the foundation is only
for one Plot. I'm wondering if
in those day they poured for all
4 Plots , The range in front of
yours also. Donated Graves have no foundation
down and no headstone allowed. Do you
know if this was a donated one.
Sorry to say No Marker.

I'll follow up on the James Glynn 1885 purchase and let you know if there is a gravestone there. You may want to visit Boston after April as there's likely to be snow in March ;-)
All the best,

Hi Julie,
Calvary does not have any of the Glynn's you are looking for in their database. I looked at the area around the Carr grave I sent you but could not find James, Ellen, or Bridget Glynn. I'll keep the info in case I happen upon them somewhere else.
