RE: John Harker Yoce
I was looking at a cousin's page on FIND a GRAVE and noticed you had posted a question about him. I recognized the name. He died in DeWitt Co., IL. My guess is he is buried there too.

Hi,

Thanks for getting the pic of Frank Richmond's marker. It's the right photo for the memorial, only we had the memorial linked to the wrong family! Your photo helped clear that up so thank you so much for your efforts!

Debbie

Thank you SO much for photographing my aunt and uncle's grave. I can't seem to read the writing at the bottom of the stone. It reads something like Farewell dear parents... Would you check on that for me?
Thank you again,
Beverly

RE: Ben Hough
It is a very small cemetery and he is the only Hough there. Do the other Hough's have stones? I understand that this cemetery was a Quaker cemetery and that's why there are not very many stones. They simply were not allowed to have a stone. I guess they considered it showy. Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you!

Yes, this is the same family. I am sorry I do not have much on him. I only have four children listed for him. His daughter Darlene Walthers, died in Oregon in 1994. I do not have any photos.

RE: Ben Hough
I haven't been able to get to this cemetery for a while. I photograph the whole cemetery a couple of years ago. I have read recently that there used to be a mailbox there with a map of where people were buried. I do not remember seeing that mailbox. I do want to go back and check it out. Just don't know when that will happen. I will keep you in mind and try to find out for you.

You can read the headstone on her memorial better than I can! I enlarged the photo, used my magnifying glass, & put on my super-duper reading glasses and still could make out very little! LOL I visited that cemetery shortly before I created that memorial. I wrote everything down on paper that I could make out, but apparently when I entered it here, I put the death date in as the birth date, but missed the '3' of '23'. I then calculated from there. Change has been made with the new birth date calculated. Thanks for catching this!!

RE: More Dunkin stuff
"History of Fountain County, Indiana, H.W. Beckwith, 1881" is a local history book. It can be found at the Covington Public Library or the Fountain County Genealogy Society Library in Veedersburg. I am sure other Fountain County libraries have a copy also.
