I will be able to get you date of death, date of burial, place of birth, place of death, cause of death and age at death. That is the info contained in the cemetery records. I will be at the cemetery on Monday so will e-mail you then. My e-mail address is Why don't you send me a quick e-mail with your address and I will respond on Monday.

RE: Anna Walsh
I see what you mean by the abundance of Walsh's and trying to sort them out. I don't believe the James Walsh, wife Ann and daughter Alice, buried in St. Joseph's belongs to your family. From what I've seen in death certificates, they seem to be more in the Pittsburgh area than Sharpsburg. Some say Calvary, which is a huge cemetery in the city. I haven't found a good listing for it and given the size I would think contacting the cemetery itself would be your best bet.

I haven't been able to find James D's death certificate, but he may be beyond the years that are available. I did find him living with Joseph for several census years as a widower. His wife must have died before 1906, as I can't find her either.

Is the user on Ancestry with the similar user name and tree with Walsh family members in it yours? That would make talking a little less public. :)

RE: Anne Walsh
After a quick peek at Family Search, I found a Joseph L Walsh, born 1910 (divorced) whose parents are Joseph L Walsh (deceased) and Marie A Bridgemann (born in England) marrying Ann Kolcun, born 1912, daughter of Steve Kolcun and Ann Hamrock or Hanerock in Sep 1942.

Joseph L Walsh Sr's death certificate, which names his wife Marie Bridgeman and parents as James Walsh and Anna Boyle, says he was buried at Calvary cemetery in Allegheny County. 9 Apr 1889-17 Mar 1938.

RE: Thanks for photographing Marie Walsh's stone
You're welcome. It was on the other side of Anne E and Joseph L Walsh's stone. I put that picture up as well.

Nathen Blankenship--Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
Even though I created the memorials for the Blankenship family, the headstone photos are not mine so I cannot move them. Just click on the name under the photo and send them a message about the error!
Many thanks!
