RE: Mildred Bacon
Sorry, this cemetery is not marked with plot#'s or identifying numbers and there was no one there to ask. I sent them an email and haven't heard back yet. I was looking at another cemetery yesterday and found some other Bacon's and added their photos in case that helps.

See Marjorie F. Bacon 1921-1997
Joseph F. Bacon 1875-1961 and Eugenia B. Bacon 1877-1964

I can pretty much remember where the grave is if I need to go there again.

3 documents sent to your email. I always lean towards the birth cert. but a family's obituary should be accurate too, one would hope.

Hopefully you can add the info about the other family members on the stone as well. Notre Dame Cemetery needs lots of help.

Goodnight,

Ryan

p.s. - looks like from Lindsay's photo of the stone, Exeas might have been a nickname or possibly a misspelling by the town clerk on the certificate.

I just, out of curiosity, double checked his birth record in Gardner and his name looks like Exias in the record, but his birth date should be January 24th, 1890, not the 19th, like the death record stated. I'm not sure why the gravestone says 1889? Oh well.

But you can adjust his name and birth date on the memorial now that I transfered him to you.

Goodnight.

RE: Beauchemin
So is Victor and Louise Beauchemin supposed to be buried with Raymond and Yvette? If so, I've found their stone but their names aren't on it. Let me know if you like me to post it.

Lindsay :)

All transfered to you Jane. Hope you can add some info.

I found a bunch of online death records for Gardner listing the burial locations. So I put them on find-a-grave. I am not a relative of Fontaine.

I use familysearch.org which is the Latter Day Saints website. It's free and amazing. The time period for Exeas' death is not indexed on their website I had to physically look at each record from 1916-1920 for Gardner.

Take care.

Ryan

Hi Jane, Do the names Raymond and Yvette Beauchemin mean anything to you? Do you know if Victor and Louise are buried with anyone else?

RE: Vincent Trembley
Hi Jane, The Fontaine request was for Exeas Fontaine. His memorial page is managed by Ryan Amidon. That's why you can't see it from you profile. It looks as though Ryan had added quite a bit of names from that cemetery to findagrave via records. If you are a family member and he is not, you can ask him to transfer the page to you and then it will be under your 'managed memorials'. Other than that, you can find Exeas's memorial page (with the pictures) via the cemetery link.

Let me know if this doesn't make sense. :)

What was Josephine's maiden name?

Yup that was me. I save all my photos... I'll email it to you. :)

Because the church wasn't willing to help me with the layout of the cemetery, I just drive, or walk, around the cemetery 'til I find what I'm looking for. That's why it took me so long...lol... But now that I know where section D is, that might help in the future.

Do you know the birth date and death date for Josephine?

Margaret and Josephine Tremblay
Hi again....sorry to be a pain...but I just wanted to point something out in case you hadn't noticed...

There is a link for a "daughter Tremblay" who died in 1920 (a baby that died at birth, perhaps). That is the same year that Margaret died (48 years before Vincent). Maybe Margaret was his 1st wife who died giving birth and he was remarried to Josephine.

??

RE: Vincent Trembley
Just another thought...perhaps Josephine was a middle name or confirmation name? I have a great aunt that went by 3 different names. (and I just realized what you meant.."hold off on adding pics" to Margaret's page...I didn't add them yesterday and will definitely wait to hear back from you.)

Hi Jane, I added the pictures yesterday. I can delete them if you'd like until you know for sure. I was confused by the wife's name as well but noticed the dates matched. I was thinking maybe a 1st wife, 2nd wife situation....?? There was another stone with Tremblay on it but no first names. All it says it 'Tremblay/Kangas'. I photographed it just in case. Let me know if you'd like me to email it to you.

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Hi Jane,

I finally found Vincent's stone. I was still unable to find Victor and Louise though (but will keep looking). Would you like me to add the photos of Vincent's stone to his wife, Margaret's memorial page?

RE: John Urbano
I'll ask again at the office but I think the lady only had 1 Urbano at Shoops. Give me a week, the office is only open Mon, Wed, & Fri from 7:00AM to 12:30PM, and this Monday is a Holiday.

Like the caption said John does not have a marker of his own. He is buried with the Eatons in their plot.
That is the picture. That is a picture of where he is buried.

Sorry

Hi, Jane! I'll send the pages to the booklet to your e-mail. You may find out that many of the names are very familiar. Ron

RE: Photo Requests
They definitely did not want to help me in any way. :(

I'll leave the requests open but keep looking. That way if someone else finds your requests before me they'll be able to claim them.

Photo Requests
Hi Jane, I don't want you to think I've forgotten about you. :) I've gone to the cemetery a couple of times since we last emailed. I'm having trouble finding them. I spoke with someone from Sacred Heart today to see if I could get a map with the sections marked off to make it easier but they won't provide that information to me. I find it very strange and unfortunate. I'll keep trying though.

Peter and Mary Giacondina
Hi, Jane!

I was going through some of my mom's things and came upon a souveneir booklet put out by Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in 1950. It was to celebrate paying off the church's mortgage. It lists the Giacondinas as having lived on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City around that time. They were parishoners of the same church that virtually my entire family belonged. Not surprising as the church is only a few blocks from the cemetery. Hope this adds to your research. I can send you a copy of the page, or even the entire booklet, if you want. LMK...

Ron

Jane, I know exactly how you feel. I'm trying to do family research as well. Half my family is in Holy Name which is funny because most of them lived in Marion Section only a few blocks away from the cemetery where they are now buried. And I didn't know where they were they were buried, and in some cases who they were, until very recently. I myself live just a few blocks from Holy Name. If there's ever anything else I can help you with just let me know...Ron

No problem. :) I see the requests. I'll claim them as soon as I get the photos. I'm looking into getting a map of the cemetery to make searching for stones faster. I'll keep you posted.

I just double checked the Fountain page and it was created on 2/7/2012 by Ryan Amidon. That is why you found it and were able to submit the request. :)

If the Fountain's are your family and not Mr Amidon's, he can transfer the memorial page to you, if he is willing.

RE: Beauchemin/Trembley
Hi Jane, there may have been a 'memorial page' set up already for the Fountain's and that's why you were able to submit the request. But if you did a search on this website under the cemetery name and the names didn't come up, then there's no memorial page for that person. Therefore, you'd have to create a memorial page and then submit the request. The users of this website are the ones that add the names to the cemeteries, not the cemetery commissions or anything like that. (Just so you know how it works. :))

Either way I can definitely still take the pictures for you. :)

Hi again, just a thought...I'm new at this so I'm not sure, but I think you need to actually post a request for the other names you are looking for. That way I have a memorial page to post them to.

??
