|Pezchild||2 photo requests|
I found two other family members at Allegheny and just put in two photo requests. If you are going to be at the cemetery with your camera I'd really appreciate a photo of each. They are son-in-law and grandson of Alex and Alice, both in Section 27 and I don't know what to expect as far as headstone. If you can't I'm sure it will be claimed by someone.

Are you saying the obit should be for the father? You have the father and son dying at the same year, I didn't not create that you did, so I'll just move it to the REV,s memorial.

|F Priam||John Sproull Decline|
The obit states he retired as pastor because of Ill health and died at the home of his daughter in Ohio,,and the body was shipped back to Pittsburgh for burial. I don't understand what is incorrect about that, it's pretty straightforward. Can you please explain the reason to decline that? Thanks

Hi Janet, Thank you so much for the photos! Yes, I would love all the photos. Believe Catherine Weixel may be John's sister. This really does sound like a family group. Annie and Sarah are their daughters. I'll put up the memorial for Annie and put out a request for photo so you can add it and get credit for it. I'll let you know when I put out the request. Will try to do it tonight.
Thank you so much for the "extra mile" you went!

Thank you so much for transferring little Clara Bell's memorial to my care. I have linked her to her parents and will update as I find information. Hopefully, I can get a photo of her headstone, if there is one. I'm finding that a lot of little ones don't have a marker. How sad. Wish I had the funds to get them for those in my family.

Thank you Janet, that would be wonderful to see the pictures!! These are the original Chess's in America for my line and there records have been very hard to find from that far back, so I really appreciate your help! BTW, Chess Street in Pittsburgh (near the Liberty Tunnel) is named after these Chess's.

Hi Zim (aka Janet :)).
Unfortunately I don't have a map on this. The M Jane Chess should be the mother of the William Chess with the big spire. I would assume that the other grave next to hers that you are having trouble reading would have been her husband William Chess (I believe he died about 1823). The others I requested (Finley, Eleanor, and Mary (and her husband Thomas Cooper) are siblings. I noticed that the death date for almost all of them is listed in Find a grave as 1854 or 1855 (other than William with the Spire). Like I mentioned above, I'm sure that at least William Chess Sr. died within a year of 1823. So I wonder if most of these grave were reinterred? By the way, the reason that William Jr. got the spire, is that he ended up being a wealthy coal mine owner (just as an FYI). The rest of the family did fine as well, but not like him.
I really appreciate your help with this!! Is there still snow on the ground in Pittsburgh?

Thank you for reporting the issue with the location of Sarah Jane Laughlin's grave site. Was there just no marker at that site? I have contacted the creator of the memorial to attempt to find whether the location is correct.

Thank you so much, it matches Adella's stone. I edited the inscription. I've been busy, whenever the snow melts, fulfilling headstone photo requests around the county. It's a great way to get acquainted with your surroundings. REB

|Stu G.||RE: Holliday's in Allegheny Cemetery|
I am not a descendant of the Hollidays but there is a distant connection to my family with Charles' great-grandparents William and Margaret (Gillespy) Holliday. No need to transfer Charles and Bertha unless you want to.
Did you get the request to link Charles to his parents?

Thank you got adding the photo of Tony's grave. He was my ex husband. I couldn't attend his funeral, and I didn't know where he was buried. I now live closer to Pittsburgh, so I can visit his grave.

Thank you so much for the photographs of both the death record and the headstone of Elizabeth Ann Seaman Atterbury.
I sincerely appreciate your generous donation of time and talent.

Thanks so much for the extra step. I had forgotten that family search has the Pgh early death records. I just realized that he is one of mine about a week ago.

If you have no relationship to Andrew J. Moon of this memorial, would you please transfer management to me? I have established that he is a member of my extended Moon family in Allegheny County.
Thank you, too, for the photos of Andrew's gravestone and that of his wife, Mary J. Moon. I also appreciate your permission to copy the photos.

I just recently found him (we thought he died or disappeared in 1883 from Cleveland) and did so through his military records from NARA. I would love to have a picture when the parade goes through. Thank you.

Could you please transfer Loretta and Francis Dooley

Thank you for all your good work!

|Brett Martin||RE: Bailey's Allegheny Cemetery|
Thanks for making the offer to transfer the Baileys. I remember Tom and Dorris Letters and Bill Bailey (my grandmother's cousins). They came to our family reunion almost every year in Appomattox, VA. We always enjoyed their visits at my grandparents in Lynchburg when they arrived on Fridays before the reunions on Sundays.

Thank you very much. I will add Lida and Thomas to the F-A-G site. I handle my family and my wife's family genealogy sites, so with over 10,000 names and facts stored in my data base, I have to keep moving and then circle back from time to time.
It is fun though.

Thanks for the message about Ellen Ann Sheppard who was married to William J. Brown. I don't know why I listed it as Ella instead of Ellen. I have updated my records.
You had asked about William's other wife Margaret, but the fact is that William had a total of 4 wives. Wow!
If you want to transfer Margaret to me, that ould be great. William and Ellen/Margaret/Caroline/Anna were my Gr-Gr-Grandparents.

|Pezchild||Alexander and Adella Birnie|
Zim, Thank you for creating these records, Alexander was my great uncle and the cemetery has his death date wrong. It was actually 23 Oct. 1939. Was there really no headstone for him? I was thinking of visiting the cemetery next summer to take pictures. Would you consider transferring Alex and Adella to my management?

|Henry May||RE: Mary Pfisterer St Marys cemetery|
Thanks Janet for the information,
Unfortunately (or not) all my photo requests are in the cold country, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. I live in sunny Florida. Thanks for taking the time to do the research. When it thaws out up there if you could see if Mary Pfisterer has a headstone and capture a photo, I would appreciate it.
