RE: Jacob Breinig Pittsburgh, PA
James, Thanks for the reply. I know this gets addicting and time consuming to research all of this information.
I have some info for you that in fact I just researched and finalized part of it when I got your reply. I have been focusing on my wife's family for a while now, so the breinig/cyprych/miller and my father's side of the family was on the back burner.
I just verified that Sylvster's father was Joseph Miller (bn: 1861 and died 10/11/1898). He died on Pulmonary Tuberculosis and had a secondary issue with Dropsy. His father was Martin Miller (born in Germany) and his mother was Mary Schilling (born in Germany).
Joseph lived at 8 Pius St, Pittsburgh, PA when he died, having lived there for 3 yrs and 7 months. He had previously lived at Nusser Alley, Pittsburgh, PA. Joseph's job was as a Foreman at the Pipe Mill. He is buried at St. Michael's Cemetery.
As for your grandfather: Sylvester, I have him born Jan 10, 1892. I don't have any date of death, but I have him married to Helen Stefany. I have four sons born to Sylvester and Helen: Walter (Bunny), Hilliard, Albert and Joseph. One of these must be your father.
My mother is Anna Marie Breinig (bn 1932), so she and your father are officially second cousins. I will talk to her tomorrow but I know that she knows your dad's family as she was the one who gave me the info on his family.
Where did you grow up? Are you from the Jeanette area? I get contacted from a Marlene Thrathen who is somehow related through the Breinig/Miller side. I think she lives in the Greensburg/Latrobe area.
Keep in touch and let me know if there is anything else that you need. BTW, if you can fill in the dob/dod for Sylvester's family (wife/kids), that would be great (spouses too if available).
