Marain Holton
Sent this to the other owner in Beulah.

Based on what I perceive, your hopes of getting tombstone photos at the Atglen Cemetery are pretty slim, as I the evidence is pointing pretty clearly to Beulah Baptist. again, your call.

please cut and paste to the bio section:

Hello, my name is Nelson Tennis. Ijust use my wifes findagrave account. I'm interested in the Zell families interred at Mount Moriah. Mainly if they're connected to mine from Merion Meeting? Thanks, Nelson R. Tennis

Do you want me to add a photo to Martin's memorial even though his name isn't on a stone or will you make a note on his memorial and the photo request can be removed?

Also, would you like to create the memorials for William M. 1866-1891, William C. 1838-1911 and wife Elizabeth A. 1846-1919, and
Frank M. 1874-1919 and wife Elizabeth R. 1878-1924 or shall I?

Martin Sexton
I found what I believe to be the correct plot, based on the section map I have. I couldn't find a stone with Martin's name on it, but there are three Sexton stones:

William M. 1866-1891
William C. 1838-1911 and wife Elizabeth A. 1846-1919
Frank M. 1874-1919 and wife Elizabeth R. 1878-1924

Do these folks connect to Martin that you know of? This would help me confirm that I had the right plot.

I'll upload photo to Harry's memorial. Sorry I did memorials for Martha & Jesiah and transferred them to you before I saw your info, or i'd have added first....but they are in your capable hands now. Best - rob

RE: William Wylde
Yes, Gwendolyn G. is the name on the gravemarker. However, since her death date is not listed, I assume she is still alive. Her birth date is 1917. I can send you a picture if it will help with your research. But I would rather not post it if, indeed, she is still living. Pat

PS- Thanks for calling the cemetery! Would be really interested to see what info they may have on file about their burials/who bought or owned the plots, etc. etc. There are lots of "our" Huhns buried there, so maybe this would be another way to verify the link between "my" and "your" Huhns (like, for example, if someone in your family owned the plot but gave some of the places to George and Eliza)

Pretty sure I got the date of death right, because I have his death record and I think also the newspaper clipping (you can get the death cert on Ancestry or FamilySearch-- it was 1897.)

Eliza and George Huhn
Hey Jen,
The DOB for Eliza makes sense (by the way, does the grave say Eliza or Elizabeth on it?), because I think it was the 1900 census that listed her DOB as "July 1821" (that was the census where they recorded the years.) George was dead by then, so we don't have that census to fall back on, but for some reason I had his DOB listed as being in February...September throws me for a loop!

Added by cosette52 on Jul 07, 2014 9:35 AM

I put corrections in but I guess she has not been online. For Elizabeth the DOB is July 29, 1821
DOD is April 4, 1901. For George the DOB is Sept. 8 the year is 182- (we couldn't read the last number) and DOD is Feb 8, 1887. I hope this helps get you further in your research.

Hello Jen,
We went back to the cemetery yesterday. The three of us did our best to read the monuments. I have added corrections for both George and Elizabeth. I could not find Adam in the area and there are no unreadable monuments in that area either. We completed photographing yesterday. They should all be posted in the next week or so.

RE: Huhn
Do you know DOB or DOD? I have a few more from this group that I cannot read names on. I saw Huhn on the one and because you had the dates in I was able to match them to yours.

Really happy to see the grave photos! How exciting! Question: are you able to read the inscriptions? It would be great to get those dates of birth off there.. That could be useful for digging for birth/baptism records and more concrete evidence as to who their parents' are!! I'm having trouble reading them or seeing if there's additional info ...

RE: Eleanor Smith
Sorry it was rotated. I corrected that. I have a few more Smiths in the same area of the cemetery and will post those also.

RE: W H Harrison
It fooled me the first time I went through - the main name on the stone was Hollingsworth. I didn't notice the Harrisons at the bottom until I took pictures of the Harrisons next to it and found they weren't the ones you were looking for. Glad I went back and took the picture anyway.

RE: Eleanor Huhn
The photos were on some photo-sharing site. Many were illegible (or partially so) because of the overgrowth. The person who had taken them would not grant permission for them to be used on Find A Grave and has since removed them, so I am glad I copied the data while it was there. I am sorry- there were a few hundred and I did not save all the images. I just recall a mad weekend where I had a few windows open on the computer where I clicked on the next photo on that site while entering the data on Find A Grave, going back and forth thinking "This is priceless, and might not be found otherwise". This was before the cleanup efforts had begun in earnest, and like you, I knew a lot of people wouldn't want to pay for record access thru the Society. Anyway, very glad that Eleanor has found a home with you.

I've made your suggested corrections all but the maiden name. You have her maiden name as Mclaughin. I want to make sure that is correct and not supposed to be McLaughlin? Does it have two "L"'s or just the one? Let me know!

Mabel Slaupas
I recorded a grave today from Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. The name is Mabel Slaupas 1922-1990.
SSDI says she died in Wildwood, Cape May County, NJ.
Is she related to you? Glad to transfer to you if she is, or even if she might be.

Margaret is my first cousin three times removed. I have not been able to find any pictures so far. While I do not have direct information to her downline I do have her parents and grandparents as well as a lot of their other childrens downlines. Are you related to to her or William?
