RE: home cemetery
You are certainly welcome to use the photo and no "courtesy of" is necessary. Just let me know if you publish the book. I would be interested in buying a copy. Good luck with your project.

RE: family
Thank you! I will do that. :)

RE: family
Hi CasS ~ Thank you for your note! Yes, that is probably my tree you are looking at on Ancestry. Or rather, the tree I made for my late husband. I had a lot of help from one of his Scottish cousins, who provided many documents and photos. We made the tree public so that family, such as yourself would be able to find it.

Van Slyke's - Old Tacoma Cemetery
Hi, I was at the Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma WA and came across Ira and Earl Van Slyke's memorial marker. I've added the photos to their sites. Take care.

Rodman oops
Seems I have Dewey Rodman in two different cemeteries. He's on a headstone at Haven of Rest but was listed by Buckley King as being at Vaughn Bay. I sent you a correction for linking him to his son, Jack, for the Haven of Rest memorial as I'll be removing the one at Vaughn Bay.

RE: Vivian Bill
I found it by accident from Washington Digital Archives - a free site online. And yes there are so many errors due to folks not being able to read the handwriting and also, the person filling out the form made mistakes.

Say, could I turn over all my Vaughn cemetery memorials to you...

Minnie Smith
It seems to me you requested a photo for a Minnie Smith at Lake View Cemetery in Seattle. I am unable to look up the paper work right now

Minnie Smith
The cemetery has two Minnie Smiths but neither of them is buried with the other Smith family members and you did not include any further information to help identify her

Did you happen to give me this...
.. information on a Amanda Elizabeth (Crowder) Bradley being buried at Vaughn Bay with her infant?

I have another graver that thinks its the same Amanda they have a death cert for that shows her buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Tuscon Arizona. Her dob and dod are different from what's on my memorial. So not sure if we happen to have the same gal or two gals with the exact same names.

Pedersen @ Vaughn Bay
Would you add photo to Anne K and Antoine Pedersen. I've linked them to their daughter Mette.

My Labor of Love
RE: Slater stones at SpringLake
Yes, unfortuately there were 2 stone that have been over turned.

Alice Virginia Gardner Slater (104202890)
George King Slater (104202937)

I'm sure that you could probably contact the office and ask if these 2 stones on Lot BE-1 could be uprighted before they get damaged. I would think that it should be part of the upkeep for the cemetery.

Good luck to you and let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

Take Care,

RE: Niemann
I've transferred the memorials that are supposed to be in Niemann to that cemetery and added the additional info as well from the markers.

RE: Vaughn Bay Cemetery
Don't think the Bayview needs changing, it was obviously known as that by the locals at one point. That's why the AKA stuff exists.

Glad you got together with Tia and gave me some corrections to do as well as got some photos too.

Will you be adding folks to the Niemann cemetery then?

RE: Vaughn Bay Cemetery
Ahhhh haaa... I've found out where this mix up has come from after a little poking around. On the usgwtombstones dot org website for Washington state county of Pierce there is a Niemann Cemetery listed in Vaughn. Its profile page says 'The small Niemann Family Cemetery is located across the street from the Vaughn Bay Cemetery on 186th Ave KPN in Vaughn, just off Bayview Rd. KPN. It has only 14 graves.'

As you stated, there are Hansens, Niemanns, and Lindners buried there.

Further down this is: Vaughn Bay (Bayview, Niemann Family) Cemetery T22N R1W Section 34

I think I may have sent the AKA corrections to have the Niemann added as a AKA to Vaughn Bay based on what I read on usgwtombstones. Mia culpa.

But since there is a Niemann cemetery listed, the markers in 'Hansen' could be put there. Just need to submit a correction to and explain that Niemann is across the street from Vaughn Bay, is not associated with it as it's on private property, and the AKA be removed accordingly. I'm willing to send that along to them so they get it needs fixing. May take awhile though, seems they are way backlogged on cemetery corrections/edits.

RE: Vaughn cemetery
Pardon, the Niemann cemetery profile says its the AKA for Vaughn Bay, but Vaughn Bay says its AKA is Bayview. Go figure eh?

Added by Taweret on Jul 20, 2013 10:33 PM

RE: Vaughn cemetery
Niemann was apparently Vaughn Bay's name at one time.. at least that's what I've gathered from the AKA listed on the Vaughn Bay profile.

RE: Gerald David Brown
I looked into how to add a cemetery, if you get a list feel free to send it my way and I'll get to work on it. Will give me something to do when I'm not busy. :)

Added by Taweret on Jul 20, 2013 9:21 PM

RE: Gerald David Brown
I checked for Hansen in Vaughn and see nothing listed for it, so it'll have to be added as a cemetery first before the names are added. They will probably want a GPS as well as full info for it, so if you can find out anything it will help.
