|cself||RE: Maurine Sargent|
I have finally found Maurine! I was locating a headstone for someone else, and turned around and there it was! It is still not listed in the directory, but I am hoping they can update that. I also found Granville Hannaford Sargent, right beside Maurine. I have uploaded the photo's to their memorials for you,and my apologies for it taking such a very long time to find them for you.

Oh, it was that far back! Did this person on Find a Grave put no pics of any of the graves...but then I think there was only 2 listed. Probably just found an obit or death cert or something and wrote them up from that.
I almost live at Middle River...I live 2 miles from Franks Mill and Middle River goes thru there. I think we are about 6 miles from Staunton. and from the way my Delorme Map shows, that's as far as Middle River goes...because it starts southern and goes north at a 90 degree angle.
We have an old homestead on the River road that is made of rock and on the register for historical houses. Maybe that's the place.
Will see if I can find anything out about it, but Northwest out of Staunton on Middle River sounds almost like where I live.

Have you got any idea where this is? I did't think you could just bury anywhere in this county, so isn't this possibly in a main cemetery somewhere?

Hi Bob! $ of us got out there and spent 30 manhours and got it all mowed, or chopped. It needs rakiing and then mowing again by the time I get back from vacation in AZ! We have discovered more footstones and base stones, but no new headstones. A Campbell descendant had taken one of their headstones, and has promised to return it and help to repair the Campbell stones. 2 living Patton descendants have appeared this summer and have vowed to help also. One is the son of the man who moved the Tristram PATTON stone and I now have 5 permissions to move the stones back and we have determined where they belong. SO, things are moving along, now that the season is over! thx! Tracie 304-661-1915

I can't transfer that memorial because I didn't create it. I have asked the person who created it to transfer it to you. I only photographed that memorial so I have no rights to give it to you. Thank you so much from Southlake.

Thank you so much! Your message made my day. I am happy to transfer him to you. I just want to be sure you mean Robert Finney Miller (1866-1935). My goal is to reconnect families if possible. Thank you for taking the time to be so kind, it means alot to me. Carol

I am very intrigued, as you stated an obit has her listed there. If you can remind me from time to time, I will see what I can come up with. I was told that originally in Walters, the cemetery was in a different location. Family members were contacted, if possible, before the graves were moved. Those who were unclaimed were never moved. Because of the location of the old cemetery, those graves are now unmarked, as it now has the high school football field sitting atop of it. I am hoping that the family members you are searching for are not in that location! I will see what I can find out.....if anything....through old records.

The cemetery directory only has one Sargent listed, a Nannie Sargent who died in 1927. Here is a link to her memorial page - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=sargent&GSfn=nannie&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GRid=47617518&df=all&
If you have any other info, or other name, I will be more than happy to help you find her.

You are welcome!! I have your list for the next time I visit the cemetery. This was my first "tombstone taking" adventure so I did not think to check first for requests. I am sure there are others I can find for you.

You are very welcome. Please do not feel as though you are imposing you are not. I usually do take pictures of the entire family and will check for memorials to add them to at some point. Checked my pictures and I do have pictures of all the stones that are there. I can email them to you. I hope they will help you. May take me a little while but I will get them to you.

|B.J. Waters||Kathrine Jane Sargent|
Hello. I am about to fulfill your photo request and just wanted you to know that the name on the stone in lot 367-C (Holly Plot) is Jane Heywood Sargent, but I am assuming this is the same person. There are no other Sargents nearby (graves A and B are to the left of Kathrine's in the photo and are either unmarked or unoccupied).
