Incorrect photos are on Memorial # 46606136, Mary Ann Austin. These are not of this Mary (she has no marker). The photos you posted belong instead to Mary Jane (Swartout) Cross, memorial #7035651. Thank you for all your work on this site. Best wishes, Richard

Memorial # 46606136
Ladies,
The 2 photos posted on my great grandmother's memorial do not belong to her. Photos you took belong to Mary Jane (Swartout) Cross, memorial 7035651.
Would you remove these 2 photos from Mary's memorial, please?
Best wishes, Richard

RE: Harry Nichols
I was happy to help. I'd never visited the cemetery and heard how beautiful it is. And I am sure that people will repay me by photographing my relative's graves or in some other way.

RE: your relatives at Evergreen....from an earlier post.
Bridgett: Does it have an X or his plot? if so this usually indicates a stone. I did dig this entire area looking for the Tiplers and for John....was the office able to confirm that they had stones?.....if so I could maybe try again....Dom

your relatives at Evergreen....from an earlier post.
Bridgett: Here is what the lot card says...(only Anna and part of Joseph's stone remain above ground), I have put in an order for them to raise the stones.

Grave 1: Joseph : Buried 11/04/1926
Grave 2: Mary: Buried 10/27/1953
Grave 3: Alfred: Buried 3/18/1977 (might not be a stone)
Grave 4: Arthur: buried 11/18/ 1940
Grave 5: Catherine Tipler: Buried: 3/2?/ 1968
Grave 6: Anna: Buried 11/21/1941.

so John is missing or at least not buried in this lot.....and Robert is not there either....if you can get back to me about these folks that would be great....thanks...DC

Hi, I actually dug out that entire area and photographed everything that was there, they can tell you in the office if there is a stone or not, I'm an almost 100% positive that there is not.....DC

RE: Mary
Thanks for the offer. Until you mentioned going there, I completely forgot that I actually have a photograph of the empty lot. (Finding the photo is another issue, as it's in one of my moving PODS and I can't get to it until June.) If you're going to be in the cemetery anyway and want to add a photo, she is in Lot 252, resting between Joel and Delihah Cole. I found her location from Wolfe Funeral Home, 106 S. Cherry St, PO Box 73, Kalkaska, MI 49646. Regards - Richard

RE: Photo's on Mary # 46606136
No problem. She was a 4th wife and her last husband died before her so the children, I suspect, were not terribly interested in paying for a stone. Could I request that you delete the 2 pictures when you find time?
Thanks - Richard

Photo's on Mary # 46606136
Ladies,
Appreciate the 2 photos posted, but they do not belong to my great grandmother. Photos you took belong to Mary Jane (Swartout) Cross, memorial 7035651
Thanks for trying, though. I'm afraid "my" Mary has no grave marker.
Best wishes, Richard

Michelle Brill
Concerning Else Reckert
Hi, Brigett. My name is Michelle and I work at Crown Hill Cemetery and Funeral Home. I would suggest for you to contact Crown Hill and speak with Paul in the funeral home to get this corrected. The website may have been keyed in different than what is actually on the death certificate. The funeral home's number is 317-925-3800 and they take care of all the death certificates.

Sincerely,
Michelle

Evergreen
I found (and apparently someone else did too, after I cleaned them off) Joseph and Mary, I also found Alfred and Anna Weir, and that is it, I have a nice shot of the area with a lovely maple blooming, I can put that on the rest if you like, if not let me know and I can remove the photo....Dom

Joseph's parents?
Heh, I was reading Peter and Rachel (Langlois)LeMessieur's page, is Joseph their son? The Marker picture for Rachel and Peter is really not very good, I was going to try and get a better shot, if they are Joseph's parents.....the dates fit....

RE: LeMessurier @ Evergreen
Brigett: Yes, thank you, that's why I say it in my profile....relatives can get away with so much more than "someone off the street", even though the folks at Evergreen are so nice, at some places they are not. I will have a quick look tommorow when I drop off my list at Evergreen for picture taking on Friday. As I said before I will take photos of everyone on the lot and upload them, when you get the notification for the LeMessurier's check on the other folks as well. Did you know that there is another family of LeMessurier's (don't know if they are related) already listed with photos for this cemetery.....cheers...DC

RE: LeMessurier @ Evergreen
Thank you wonderful information, I will try to get all of the names that you mentioned, I usually try to get everyone on a plot, unless there is alot of digging involved...you would be suprised!

RE: LeMessurier @ Evergreen
Brigett: Wow, I've never heard of anyone charging, that's pretty outrageous, but if they are overwhelmed with "gravers" I can probably understand, I always try to be very considerate. I have a list that I will drop off tommorow, and I usually go on Friday (my day off), that part of the cemetery is sort of overgrwon, but I will try my best to find them for you! Make sure you put that info, Section, plot, grave # on your grandparents records as well.....thank you, that should save me alot of work!...Best Regards...DC

LeMessurier @ Evergreen
Brigid: My guess is that all these folks are buried together, is there anyway you can call the office: Mon - Friday EST: Ask for Bernadette or Beth (313) 368-1330. and find out the location, I am trying to finsih off all of the Evergreen Requests before the snow flies...also, they should have a plot interment card, telling you who is buried on their plot, and an individual card for everyone, with details about death, purchase, burial, and maybe even some family information....the folks in the office are very nice, just give them a couple of days. Thanks....hope to be able to fufill your request soon....DC
