Bouknight Confusion
First, thanks for all you and all the Find A Grave volunteers do to make it easier for so many to find ancestors and kinfolk.
Secondly, I am confused. In the 1870 Richland County, SC, census, Ben Knight is listed with the family of Caleb Bouknight. It appears that Ben has married Caleb's daughter, Mary Elizabeth, with two of the their children listed. It is also stated that he is the father of Julia Knight in her Find A Grave listing at Elmwood Memorial gardens, Columbia, SC. Her two siblings list Robert Knight as their father in their Find A Grave listing. One sibling, Mrs. Anne Knight Selby also has her obituary listed which states that she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert S. Knight. I have not been able to find where Benjamin or Robert S. Knight are buried.
If you can shed any light on this mystery I would be most grateful. Again, thanks for all you do to help people find where their ancestors and kin are buried.

Bacot transfers
Thank you so much for the transfers. I've added info. This is a fascinating family! The father graduated from West Point with Sherman, who later captured and released the son of his old classmate. That son quarreled badly with his sisters, went to SW Georgia and bought a traveling medicine show, adopted a new name, and never had anything to do with his sisters again.

It appears that the wife's stone is displayed on the husband's profile. Could you fix that please?

RE: Annita Floyd Lovett
No problem whatsoever, There possibly is a marker there with the spouse, and I have requested a photo of the marker. Will need to hyperlink if it exists.
Thanks -- Don

Actually 106635859 is not a duplicate of 43491247. 106635859 is in the correct cemetery based on photo available of marker and obituary that indicates burial at Lake City Mem. 43491247 is in the wrong cemetery and should be deleted, that is unless there is a marker there for whatever reason by the family.
Thanks
Don

Rebecca 'Reba' Porter Gay Ligon
Also wanted to thank you for the information you listed for this lady. I was thinking her maiden name was Smith because her obit mentions a brother with surname Smith, but after seeing your entry, I found her in several census records and further verified your Porter surname is correct for her. Her mother-in-law was a Smith.
So your efforts are extremely helpful!
Have a great weekend, Kenneth!

Lt Col Charles H Cabaniss
Thank you very much for photographing this headstone as well as that of his wife, Catharine Drayton Edwards. Armed with your picture, we were able to visit their graves today for the first time ever. They are my husband's great-great grandparents and it was very moving to be there. Thank you.

Marker Photos
Thank you for posting the marker photos for Frank Foy and Willette Glenn Skipper, and their son Frank Foy Skipper, Jr. I had taken the pictures right before putting the entires on this site. However, as sometimes happens my photos - not just those two but several other family memebers' marker photos - just ran off into the proverbial bit bucket!
Thanks again!

Thomas and Lucy Glenn
Thank you for taking the photographs of the tombstones for Thomas McGants Glenn and his wife, Lucy Gambrell Glenn; who are buried at Elmwood Memorial Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina.

Kenneth, it is thanks to individuals like you; who volunteer their time to bring ancestors closer together, even if it is only through a photograph of their final resting place. This will help future generations in our family to know a little more about their ancestor. ~ with appreciation, George Gaston

Adeline's Parents
Hi Kenneth,
I have made the appropriate links of Adeline to her parents Julian & Alice Selby. Furthermore this underscores the importance of using obituaries when researching in SC!! Otherwise it is certainly likely that none of us would have been able to determine when they were born or died.

Thank you for sending me this information. Are you planning on taking photos of their tombstones when the weather gets nicer?

Sallie Hallman Starnes
Hi Kenneth,
I see that Sallie Starnes is listed in St. Peter's Cemetery and in Elmwood Cemetery. Are these the same cemeteries? You posted photos of her and her husband's graves in Elmwood. Someone else posted a photo of her husband's grave in St. Peter's (same marker in both photos). I'm hoping you can clear up my confusion.
Thanks,
David
