RE: Cemetery Name?
Someone recently posted this on the "Find a Grave Volunteers" facebook site, and I found the name of the Cemetery (Harrison)--with the search feature, it would also be helpful for any cemeteries you might want to find. It's like *magic* haha!

Cemetery Name?
Hi! I don't know if you live in the Sneedville area, but do you happen to know the name of the Cemetery that is on "Cemetery Rd." right where Reservoir Rd. and Walnut Ave. connect with Cemetery Rd., SW of the center of town? I can't seem to find a name for that anywhere. Thx! (I found it on googlemaps)

Cemetery Location
I see that you have taken pictures of some gravesites in the Goins Chapel Cemetery in Hancock County, TN. I will be visiting in that area in mid-July, and would love to know where it is exactly. There is no map locating it on Find A Grave. Can you give directions, maybe from Sneedville? (Since I have no idea where it might be.) And might it be known by another name?

Thanks! Dori :)

RE: I'm Confused
Thanks, it will require Find A Grave to correct the location, I think. I have created a few cemeteries (or rather requested them) and at some point, the location is no longer editable. I do not know if James was the "creator" of this yard, but you can make this request yourself to the "Corrections" e-mail in the F A G FAQ, it is slightly different from edit@findagrave.

So we are saying that this cemetery is definitely in Lee Co VA, good to know.

I'm Confused
When you posted the image for Hilton Sexton in Crumley Cemetery, did you take it in Lee co VA?
Or did James Cope just get the GPS coordinates wrong?

I am interested because my own family was in Lee co VA, but had moved there from Hawkins/Hancock/Grainger cos TN.

Thanks for the info, and yes that would be great to be able to share information with her! I have a tree on ancestry also, so sharing should be easy :)

If you would please give her my email, nicole_genealogy@yahoo.com (or my name on Ancestry is SparkleAngel247), that would be great.

I was down there at Trent farm back in August visiting the graves for the first time and realized there is so much I don't know about the Trent side of the family! Hopefully I will be able to learn a good amount from her.

Thanks again!

Tommy Lawrence Trent
Hi Bobby,

I'm hoping you can help me tie together some loose ends with the Trent family (I see you added Lawrence's memorial). I notice that Tommy died very young. Do you know how he died? Was he Lawrence and Patsy's only child?

I am related as Kittie Rhea Trent (Lawrence's mother) is my great-great grandfather's (Isaac Rhea) sister.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Nicole

RE: Patricias' Parents
Mr. Sexton, I'm still attempting to locate their burial site. They both died in NH, but, being they died after 1947, they do not have burial information available in NH after that date yet using the Ancestry site. I grew up in the same town of Milton, NH as all the Butler siblings of Patricia. Patricia's younger brother Maynard (Bucky) lived right next door to us with his wife Lillian. My mother Ramona (Burroughs) was Patricia's age and she grew up on the same street as all of them.

I no longer live in NH or I would just go by the cemetery where I think they may be buried. My next trip to NH will be next June and I will check. If they are, I will most likely enter a memorial for them. I could also contact Lillian and see where her late in-laws are buried.

Sincerely
Bonnie Brown Ruff

RE: Cemetery
No the Parkey Cemetery was on our place. It was down the hill from your place. Do you remember where our lower pond was? It was close to that. Dad's farm ran up the hill to the field just below your house.

Yes, I am indeed Eb and Georgia's son. Patsy is my sister but not sure I want to lay claim to Roger. LOL

Your e-mail address keeps sending back the messages as undeliverable.

The cemetery with 3 graves is a Parkey family cemetery. The graves are listed on Find A Grave under Parkey Cemetery, Lee Co, VA. I listed them today since they were not listed. Tip killed himself but I think he did that after his mom died and one of the dates is wrong. I got his info off Ancestry and I know Great Granny Parkey's info is correct. I will check with my aunt Pauline. There is actually a child buried on the property somewhere. Her name was Birdie Lillian and I think she might be buried there too. When I was a child her tombstone was in the tack room. It had an error on the date. I have a feeling she might be buried there as well.

We will go up to the Welch Cemetery soon. Have you catalogued the Lawson Cemetery a little further up the ridge. It has stones and they are old. The cemetery use to have a wrought iron fence around it but I assume that is all gone now.

Talk soon. Bruce (aka Beau)

Welch Cemetery
Bobby,
In order to get to the Welch Cemetery, you have to turn down the river between Beech Grove Church and Beech Grove Cemetery. You take that road till it ends. There is a chain across the road but it generally isn't locked. You keep on going and drive along the road till you come to another barricade on the road. You will be in the hollow and the road keeps going up the hill toward an underground house. The cemetery is slightly SE of the house as I recall. There was a stone wall or two up last time I was there but not sure about now. The guy who did own it buried his mother's ashes there so he might have put up a stone. Hope that helps and let me know anything you wanna go up there and I might go with you. But it will have to cool down a bit because I'm scared of snakes and won't go in warm weather!!! Bruce

Winnie Goins Jarnagin - Hamblen Memory
Just found her under "Winnie G. Anderson". She is listed in Good Shepherd, 247-C if you'd like to add that to her memorial. I'll take the photo as soon as I get a chance.

I have a spreadsheet on CD that lists all of the burials at Hamblen Memory. I don't find your Winnie on there. I checked for the name, the years and also looked in the GOINS names. Is it possible that either one/both of the dates are incorrect or that she is buried somewhere else? Sorry.
