Thanks for the heads-up on the Clay memorial page. I changed the location but then found we'd got ourselves a dupe so I've asked to have the page deleted.

re: Carrie Smith burial memorial #155364251
you wrote "The obit you posted in the memorial indicates Sunnyside Mausoleum. This facility is located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Long Beach). Sunnyside Cemetery is a separate cemetery about 4 miles away and does not have mausoleum space or a chapel area of any kind. See my profile page for more information about these similar and very confusing names.

Please edit the burial location to show Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Long Beach), Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California."

I have done as you asked, but the reason I didn't put her there in the first place was that the cemetery website did not have her listed as buried in their facility. Does that mean that the cemetery website is not complete?

RE: Benjamin Williams
Clay, Thanks again! Probably Uncle Ed is there too, Edward David Williams 1886-1938. And, his wife, Aunt Dora, Dorothy Katherine [Lund] Williams 1882-1942. I looked up the Forest Lawn Memorial Park and discovered there were 3 or 4 of the same name. So, I 'm not sure... but family records state they were at Forest Lawn and I know for Uncle Ed & Aunt Dora it was a Mausoleum.

Benjamin Williams actually lived in Long Beach. Uncle Ed & Aunt Dora lived in Beverly Hills. Uncle Ed ran an insurance company that insured Holywood Studios. His brother, Uncle Roger, was in business with him. So, Roger Earl Williams 1897-1956 and Aunt Louise, Louise [Milloy] Wiliams 1903-1978 may be there as well. But, I'm not sure which Forest Lawn Cemetery.

My branch of the family is in Nor. Cal. so it's hard to double check. It's great that people are working on and more records are becoming available. Thanks again so much!

Benjamin Williams
Thanks for your note about the burial location of Benjamin Williams 1896-1956... should have known since other family members are at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Sunnyside Mausoleum.

Thank you for the correction of burial place for George J. Watt. Do you know if his wife, Inez Maud Reedy Watt, is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park too?

James Vinzant - 79239343
Hi Clay - Thank you for bringing the death date issue to my attention. I also see that the death index shows the death year as 1917, so I have adjusted my memorial correctly. I do believe I received that information from someone who had me add it to his memorial as the Vinzant's are not my direct ancestors. Also thanks for adding the information for Sunnyside to your contributor page. I see how that could get very confusing! I suppose I should write to Findagrave and ask them to merge the info in the other memorial with mine. Mine was added a year before the other one, but I don't want to lose the information or the photo from the other one either! Thanks again for letting me know : )

Christian Meeks your recent note to me:

Have received your SAC regarding the duplicate memorials for Christian and will take care of it. Will need a few days. However, I am puzzled. I generally perform a triple check before I create a new memorial. I don't understand how I missed this. Has your memorial for Christian always been at Sunnyside Cemetery with the same spelling of her name? Is Christian a direct ancestor?

Actually I had Christian buried at Douglas City Cemetery beside her husband per familial information; however when we surveyed Douglas City a while back we couldn't find her so I started looking and found the memorial that you created for her. If you would rather not delete your memorial that is fine -- I just thought it would be simpler to delete yours since mine is linked to parents and spouse.

Christian is the WIFE of a direct ancestor. Keep me posted if you want me to delete my memorial. Thanks for your help.
