Alexander McMechan
I posted a photo of Alexander McMechan's gravestone (Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Lysander, NY). I saw that you had requested a photo for him and I was curious if you have a family connection. He was my 5th great-grandfather.

I can not connect his parents. You have to contact Fred Saar (#46511066). He created Emory's page.

I agree with Jim Carnathan. The snow is just not melting on the Mountview graves...mostly the ones level with the ground. I checked yesterday and if the weather gets better I'll go over and check them again. Jennye

RE: Peter & Sallie Van Houten
The other Van Houtens are in a small cemetery about 20 miles from Billings and probably under a lot of snow right now. I see someone else has claimed them but I don't think they will have any better luck than I had so maybe when the snow melts if the photos have not been taken I will get over there and take them for you

RE: Blandina Cadmus Stryker
Morning Robin,
Thanks for the note. You're very welcome for the photo. Glad I could help. I did want to tell you , Blandina was with Rev Herman B Stryker 1794-1871.
Her stone reads wife of Herman B. I have photo'd him also and went to upload his pic but I noticed his memorial seems to have his info mixed with Harmanus Stryker. Let me know...

Have a great day..

Blandina Kip Cadmus

Although Blandina & her husband Peter were originally buried in the Belleville Reformed Church Cemetery, their remains were removed by Henry Cadmus of East Orange, NJ, when the building of an addition to the church necessitated their disinterment in 1902. You may be able to locate their current burial sites for photographic purposes by researching Henry Cadmus's interment.

Best regards,

Hi Robin, That's odd. I can see them. Maybe refresh the page? Another member contacted me to let me know that I had uploaded the same photo twice, I deleted the duplicate. Dineen

You are most welcome. His wife E Janis is on the back of his headstone and I posted the picture on her memorial page as well.

RE: Van Houten, James & Phebe
If you have any specific requests for certain sir-names in Delaware County and northeastern Franklin County Ohio, let me know. I have the headstone transcriptions for most of the cemeteries in the area and can look for any names that may not be on F.A.G.

Don't know if I answered you before if not I am so sorry. Have had a very busy life lately. The photo was taken in the Rosealand Cemetery. Sorry for the confusion.

RE: Joseph H Van Houten Jr., & Caroline K Van Houten
OOPS! I really didn't look at the dates on the headstone when I posted the photo. Sorry about that! I corrected myself. I actually didn't take a photo of Jr, but his dad's headstone! Don't know when I'll get back to Dunkirk, but I will sometime this summer. I'll get the rest of the family unless someone else gets there first.

I just fulfilled your photo request for Cornelius Vreeland. The headstone actually says Vreelandt. Just thought you might like to know.

I am so sorry Robin. Just read your message. This is for Jacob Edwards JR. It was taken in the Roseland Cemetery. I do remember looking for Sr in the Caldwell Cemetery but there are so few thier and some are not readable.

RE: Mary Edwards Meeker
She is my 5th-great grandmother. I was in New Jersey for a few days (my home state) and was looking for her grave and that of her husband, Michael Meeker, who served in the Revolutionary War. There are a couple of stones in the plot that are too faded to read. One simply has "M. M." on it. Wish I knew if that "M.M." is also for Mary Meeker, or for Michael Meeker, or for a child of theirs. The cemetery office actually does not have Mary Meeker listed as being buried there, so no telling who else might be in that plot, which is actually the Baldwin Family plot (one of the Meekers' daughters married into the Baldwin family). My family branches from the Meekers' daughter Jane, who married Eleazer Cottrell. If you have any further info on the Meeker family, I would be most interested and appreciative if you could share it.

RE: Ira Hepler
No problem. I added pictures of all the stones in that plot (10) that hadn't already been added. Also Ida Bower (nee Hepler) and Algot & Inez Anderson (I think she was a Hepler). There were four other stones which had been added previously.

You're very welcome. I've walked that cemetery so many times that it was easy to locate the plot. :)
