RE: Shlomo Hillels
Thank you for locating the cemetery for Solomon Hillels. His father is buried as Zvi Dov Hillels in the Trumpeldor Cemetery (Called the Old Cemetery by locals) which is located on Trumpeldor St. in Tel Aviv.
Solomon (Shlomo) Hillels was my father's (Louis David Frank) uncle, and his mothers (Rose Frank) brother. Both Louis and Rose are buried in the same Soroker Society plot in the Elmont Cemetery in NYC.

RE: Nathan Zeiger
You are wonderful!

Needless to say, should you find his burial site, if you happen to notice any other Zeiger family members buried in the vicinity, please feel free to take note and/or photograph those as well!

With much gratitude,

RE: Nathan Zeiger
Ah! I understand now.

Unfortunately I have no additional information on this deceased person. If he is indeed the cousin whom I believe he is, then I only know that his family lived in Haifa in the 1940's and 1950's. His father's name would be Menachem (Mendel) on the tombstone.

This is the information that I hope to ascertain!

The person who created this memorial on findagrave does not allow contact, so I can't ask him/her any additional questions. Based on the very large amount of memorials he/she has created, my guess is that this memorial was created from an obituary.

Should you find the time to visit the Eretz HaChaim office next week, I'd be most grateful for any and all information you can learn about this Nathan Zeiger.

Much thanks!

RE: Nathan Zeiger
Hello -

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this request! I did not create this memorial for Nathan Zeiger (whom I believe is my cousin), so I can't really offer more information that what's listed on the Find-a-Grave memorial (pasted below).

I will send a message to the person who created the memorial in hopes of learning more information.

To fully understand, are you telling me that there is no plot called Eretz Hachaim at this cemetery? Or that there is no person named Nathan Zeiger (possibly Natan or Nisan Zeiger) anywhere in this cemetery? Is there perhaps a cemetery office that would have a list of burials?

I will try to find out more for you.

Thank you so much!

What is here Find-A-Grave # ? I put her name in the database and I didn't see a record that I had worked on.

Is it the Find A Grave page of:
Ruth (Klausner) Abelson ~ 114737399
I only provided a picture and the page is by Sweet Pea.

I did do her husbands page.
Arthur J. Abelson ~ 119273769
If you have his Gravestone pic, it would be very much appreciated to have it on his page.

Hi Daniz

Thanks a million for the lovely photographs of the two graves that you've sent, for me and my friend.

It really is so very kind of you to take the time, trouble and expense to travel to Beersheba to do this for two strangers. I know from personal experience it's not easy finding graves in cemeteries.

Thanks again.

Hi Daniz

My email address is:

I really didn't think anyone would ever answer these photo requests. It is really amazing that you are doing this.

I read some years ago that some of the graves had been damaged by rocket fire in some of the more recent conflicts. Can you still see evidence of this?

I visited some graveyards in Belgium earlier this year and some of the military graves and memorial walls have been cleaned and some re-engraved.

Thank you again.

Pte Jefferies Jones
Hi Daniz
Many thanks for photographing the grave of J Jones. However, unfortunately it's the wrong J Jones grave!

You have taken photo of Corporal J Jones 290855 of Welsh Fusiliers in plot P54.

The J Jones I was hoping to get a photo of is just a few plots away in P42. He is a private in Somerset Light Infantry and his number is 37159.

If you ever get the opportunity to go again to the cemetery I would very much like a photo of the grave of Jefferies Jones. He's my friend's close relative.

Also I have put in request for a photo of nearby plot Q72 of my relative Lt Tom Webster 22729813. Who left Derbyshire, England for Australia and served with Australian Light Infantry. So maybe you could photograph them both one day.

It's an amazing co-incidence my friend and I have relatives buried so close to each other.

We will never be able to travel there ourselves to take the photos. So thanks in anticipation.

Karen (Derbyshire, England)

Dear Daniz, Thank you so much for sending a picture of Charles Robert Hubbard memorial grave.
He was my grandfathers older brother. my mother has been researching our family tree and will be very grateful also. I spent time in Israel 18 years ago near beer sheba, but at the time never knew of the grave. We are very grateful for you help especially at this time with the trouble going on in Israel.

Yours Kindly
