RE: Mary Burdette Castor
Thank you for your information and willingness to make the change. As you point out Mary's Father's stone is Burdett. And I see on Find A Grave that her brother Rufus' stone is Burdett. So, when the "e" was officially added and by which line of the family is the question. Actually, I have been coming "up" from the modern Burdette spelling and maybe jumped a little soon to the added "e" for Mary. There are families that have spellings with and without the “e” for siblings.

After some additional looking I find a marriage between Charles Burdet (one t) and Mary Harris in England on 8 Jul 1706. Then there is Burditt, Burdett and Burdette.

The Burdett(e) line is my ex-wife’s maternal side and hasn’t been a major search emphasis for me so far. As time goes by I will delve further into this name.

Thanks again for giving me another area to research.

I was interested in the story that is attached to her record. Can you provide me with more information on where it came from? She is my husband's gg grandmother and I am working on the family history for him and his children.

I moved in 2013 and I am just now unpacking a lot of my genealogical records. As for being in the company of Marion Francis, have you read The Patriots at the Cowpens by Moss? Also, are you aware of who James Turner's brother-in-law was?

RE: Elizabeth Castor Howell
I am of no relation to her. I live close to Hillview and was taking pics of all the graves when Rob Minteer took a list off the internet and uploaded 4400 graves in 2012. He lives in another state. Instead of me sending him tons of edits before the edit system we have now, he asked me if I wanted to take over the cemetery which I said yes. He contacted Find A Grave to get all the graves he posted on there transferred to me. I'm willing to transfer out to anyone who asks as long as they include their contributor # and any kind of relationship.

James Willis Conner 1879-1942 and William Conner (1847 - 1913)
Ok the question is I want to know is where you got the connection between James Willis Conner and William Conner it shows Sarah Dees Williams wife and children Celia Conner1871-1938, Lizzie Conner1867-Unknown , Doctor Conner1872-Unknown, Buddie Conner1878-Unknown, but no James Willis Conner as child of William Conner on anther web site and the only place I found the connection is between James Willis Conner and William Conner on Find A Grave web site and this site has been very helpful . I have found the Conner family all the way back 1634 and I have more than one connections with all the great grandfathers but only have one connection between James Willis Conner 1879-1942 and William Conner (1847 - 1913) thank you for all the help you can give me Kenneth Conner

Bakers/Laurence Hensley Baker
I'm organizing a Baker reunion to be held in the Brooksville, FL area summer of 2015. I would love to include you and your family. Please email me your contact information and any other Baker family members you may think might be interested in attending.

Laurence and I descend from the same line in Bakers - Arthur Alpheus Baker. Laurence was a delightful man! I wish he were still with us to attend this reunion. I have a picture of he, myself, Linda Rutherford and Laura Rutherford together at the reunion in 1997.

Please give my email address out to anyone you know of that descends from the Baker family.

RE: Moores, a Hello
I doubt my Landrums were ever well-to-do anywhere. The first one any of us can connect to is John Landrum in Jasper County in the early 1820s.

RE: Moores, a Hello
It certainly sounds like there's a connection.
I have a paper written by my Aunt Ocala (1891-1989) in which she says, "Grandpa Moore had some brothers. I do not remember their names. One of them had two sons, Guy and Hugh. I knew them personally. Hugh was a school teacher. Guy worked in Fulton County Tax office." In another place she says, "My Grandfather's mother was an Awtry." Aunt O was old when she wrote this but I always knew her as an intelligent woman. The Hugh Moore she mentioned taught school in the Austell area and there are a couple of studio portraits of him among the Landrum family pictures so there would seem to have been some sort of relationship.

While I have deep roots in Paulding Co, GA, I am not related in the least that I'm aware of. I live near the cemetery where she rest and take photos there frequently.

William Plummer is one of my ancestors. I was happy to see that you created a memorial for him. I have a family history that says "All the early Plummers were buried in Bruton Parish, Williamsburg, Virginia", but I have not found been able to find any documentation. Please tell me your source. I would very much like to cite it on my family tree. Thank you for being a Find A Grave Contributor, Nancy Plummer Hoffer.
