Asa Phelps
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you so much for your effort in locating and photographing the requested grave for Asa Phelps. This must be the father of Asa Biggs Phelps and grandfather of Asa Gray Phelps. In reviewing some paperwork I came across the name Asa Phelps in owning or being left land in Bertie County. (Sans Souci & Old Merry Hill Road) Although I have been to the property I didn't know the history behind it until I recovered the deeds and my Great Grandfather had mentioned Asa Phelps and heirs on the deed. I am mapping out our family and am intrigued to know how Asa Phelps was related to my great grandfather Charles W. Phelps who bought the land in four purchases from 1910-1921 and died in 1933. Anyways, you mentioned in your error message that you did photograph the seven graves and would share them....if it isn't too much trouble I would like to see them. My email is Thank you so much!

Carolyn, I'm so grateful for your time and work to provide this headstone for me. I now have a headstone on my Ancestry family tree site for every child of Jonas and Nancy Cayton Lamm. And you provided several of them. Thanks again!

Kenneth Roeske
Many thanks for taking the photo of Kenneth.
His mother is a cousin of mine.
Was there another gravestone next to his military one - if so, please photograph that one, too.

Girvin Photos
Thanks for the offer of different photos but when you click on them they are quite easy to make out all of the engraving.
The flowers do make them look nice!
It's also nice to see green yard here in MN has 2 1/2 feet of snow on it.
