John Ellis #107051575
I have a Birth Notice from New Hampshire that states John Ellis was born Jan 1806 in Keene, NH, and it states he was the first born of Thomas Ellis & Betsey Cole French. I have several marriage notices that state Thomas & Betsey were married 29 Oct 1806.
My question: Did Thomas have a wife before he married Betsey French? Did she die in Jan 1806 and did he marry Betsey because he needed a mother for his son? I can't find anything about that.
Would appreciate any help on this.

RE: Timothy Ellis
Timothy Ellis is a descendent of my 6th great-grandparents as follows:

Elizabeth Metcalf (b: 1718 d: 1758 is the daughter of Michael Metcalf & Lydia White, who are my 6th Great-grandparents.
Elizabeth married Gideon Ellis (b: 1714 d: 1800)
Timothy was the 5th child of Elizabeth & Gideon.

Are you a descendent? I think Im a descendent somehow, but dont know how to figure out how, or who I'd be on the line.

Thanks for all your help.

Could you tell me where you got the birth date and place information? The information that I have is from the Massachesetts, Town Birth Records, 1620 to 1850.

Name:Timothy Ellis
Birth Date:5 Dec 1747
Birth Place:Rutland
Father's First Name:Gideon
Mother's First Name:Elizabeth
Source:Vital Records of Rutland

Sometimes these things can be so confusing.

Thank you, as soon as I did it I realized that I had put the wrong # in but couldn't figure out how to undo it. Thank you for catching it.

He (and obviously his wife) are in my family tree so I'd like to hang onto these memorials for a bit.

I would like more information about them, however you would like to send it.

Joseph Salas
Could you please explain to me how you came to the conclusion that this Joseph Salas married to Margaret Caules was born in 1761 and that is parents are as you have listed. I have seen baptismal information that says January 11, 1768 and baptized Jan 13, 1768. This Cenizate Albacete, Spain record lists his parents as being some other people it also lists the paternal and maternal grandparent. Their daughter Madeline (Madelina) was my 3rd great grandmother who married William O'Donnell. Her death records states parents as Joseph Sallas and Elizabeth Caules (Cawles?) Was Elizabeth that Margaret or do I have the wrong family? Their daughter Catherine, my 2nd great grandma married Matthew Caldwell their daughter Gertrude Catherine, my great grandma(preferred to go by Catherine) married Edward J. Burnes and their daughter Frances Elizabeth was my grandma. I seem to be coming from the long lost O'Donnell daughter Catherine that no one has been able to fill in the blanks. If this is the correct lineage.

re: J Preston Adams
I am having trouble reconciling this fellow and relations. On Mary Nell Adams Hays (111680515) the bio says she is the daughter of Joseph Preston Adams and Lena Tunnison Adams (maybe 62701559) and has a parent link to J Preston Adams (29443033) rather than Joseph Preston Adams (66097464). 1930 census has dad = J Preston Adams and mom = Lena T Adams (so far, so good) with kids = Joe P (66123283), Mary N (111680515) and Margaret (61373749). Since the cemeteries are different, I assume that J Preston (no marker photo) and Joseph Preston are different, but could they be the same?

RE: Albert Lucius Ellis
No biggie. I found the death record on which says Winchendon. But if you have a record that says Winchester - that is cool. I thought it was just a typo because of the closeness between Winchendon and Winchester.

Thanks for getting back to me. A bio message makes sense.

Have a great weekend.

Dup notices
Thanks for the dup notices. I usually catch them when I go back and add photos but I think I did double add them. I had one last night that I found that there were 10-15 of one I did. Took forever to delete them. Have a great night! R

I have updated and linked all of the Parker memorials that you sent me info for.

I also transferred them all to you. I know they will be in good hands.

We have been having very cold weather for several days. If it hits 20 degrees we think we're having a heat wave.

Take Care...

Albert & Mary Ellis

I have made the links and updated the memorials with the information you sent. As always, it is much appreciated.

I have also transferred both of these memorials to you.

I will keep my eye out for Jennie when I resume my cemetery photgraphy in the spring. I will also try to get better photos for Timothy and Cleora for you. The ones posed on there now are rather dark.

Lula Ellis
Hi Mary!

I did get the corrections you sent and approved them. I see that they have gone through. I have not done any research on Lula so I don't know about the Fitzwilliam / Winchendon question.

Per your request, I have transferred her memorial to you. I know she will be in good hands.

Yes, we are buried in snow. Much more than we normally have at this time....and it has been very cold as well.

Hope your holidays are happy!
