No problem, and I was never upset. In fact I was initially thrilled that perhaps you'd found a son I did not know about til I read the memorial and pieced it together. I agree, such an odd name, you'd hardly think there could be two Valentine Kimpels. You're very welcome for the memorial, and I hope the cemetery can provide you more info on family there by name or in their lot there. You may also want to check familysearch.com for Ohio death certs for your people, which is where I found the data for the one transferred to you. I forgot to add her birthdate to the memorial before I transferred it, but you can snag it off the death cert I posted. Take care.

I cannot find a death certificate for your Valentine, but did find one for his wife Catherine. I made a memorial for her and am transferring it to you. If you contact the cemetery, you may find more of the family - I did see son Clarence was at the same cemetery.

You have an H H Kimpel here and have identified him as a son of Valentine Kimpel, linking him to my great great grandpa Valentine who lived in Philadelphia, PA.
Unless my great great grandpa was a long distance bigamist, I believe you have linked to the wrong man as HH's father. My Valentine was in Philadelphia, PA having a child born the same year as your HH.
There was indeed a Valentine Kimpel who married Catharine Breininger in Defiance, Ohio but I don't think it was my great grandpa Valentine. I recall when researching my Val that there was a man of the same name and age in Ohio. My Val died June 1890. Your guy was alive at least until the 1930 census.
I need your help to explain how we are cousins, or respectfully ask you to unlink your HH Kimpel from my Valentine Kimpel. Many thanks.

Thank you, however, there are still some edits pending. You can find them by going to your profile and under the tab "Edits" are pending edits. I appreciate your assistance in linking family members and providing all of their information.

You are very welcome for the photos. While I don't remember exactly where the stones were in the cemetery, I believe that they were in the easternmost section of the cemetery, and I believe they were in the Southeast section.

If you are at the free library someday, I would love to have an obit. They make everything so much easier. I saw something on your Findagrave page called "findagrave friends" - what is that?

Looks like Nellie is a 2nd cousin 2X removed, a granddaughter of "Uncle Lish" Elisha Corray through his daughter Lucinda. Elisha was an older brother of Isaiah Corray who was my great, great grandfather. They both farmed out in Somers Township, NE of Brownfield Woods. I would love to amnage her memorial, if you would so honor me.

I appreciate your help with all of the pictures,
I too am a volunteer that takes headstone photos
I am not a dishonest person as you suggested, and yes, I do take offense to someone referring to me as such. If you have a problem with suggestions, maybe you should pass on the request. Thanks again

helpful, apparently not.

I have no idea what you are talking about...?
I am new to this whole thing, so maybe you could
be more polite about things and maybe do so explaining. I didn't know that you were in it to get credit.
