RE: Uncle Russell
One cool thing about the photo of Russell Chandler and Margaret... do you notice the blurry line beginning at Russell's hand? That is a string that is tied to the Camera. Uncle Russell took that picture himself!

Yes, I added a photo of Wayne with Fern and also a photo of Fern by herself.

I don't remember that visit. I was the youngest of that generation (which would be the one just before yours, right?). And, as the youngest, I didn't pay much attention to family. When you are young, you just take those things for granted. As you get older, you realize how precious and rare family is.

I haven't "talked" with Darrell in sometime, but yes, we keep in touch. I have quite a few old photos in JPEG format of your mom, grandparents, great-grandparents, and even one of your great-great-grandparents. I should get them in some place where they can be shared.

I uploaded a couple to FindAGrave.

Mary Cronin Riley
Hi Lisa~
I too am researching my family tree. I see you've taken pictures of my 4th great grandmother Mary Cronin Riley. Before she married Peter Riley she was married to my 4th great grandfather John Merrigan. I see that you've listed her maiden name "Cronin". I was wondering if you could share any documentation showing her maiden name and/or mother and father's connection? Also, does the cemetery have any paperwork stating her information? I ask because her mother was married to a "Lynch" and Mary is also listed as "Mary Cronin Lynch" and I need to connect this line. I'd appreciate any assistance you can lend. Thank you again.

Missoui Chandlers
Hi, Lisa,

I see that you are posting information about my aunts and uncles on the Chandler side. So we must be related??? My mother was Viola Chandler, the youngest child of TJ and Mary E. Chandler.

I would like to invite you to visit my site: http://www.shadrachchandler.org/ Which I keep out there as "bait" hoping to catch someone who knows more about my family.

Hope to hear from you!

RE: Elizabeth Blackerby
Lisa,

Thank you so much for the headstone picture for Elizabeth Blackerby (/Blackorby/Blackaby)!! Elizabeth is my g-g-g-g-grandmother. Mary Palmer Mayes, wife of Henry Mayes, is Elizabeth's sister. Also, I believe Henry Mayes's sister, Mary Elizabeth, married John Palmer, a brother of Mary and Elizabeth.

Thanks again.
Michael

RE: Wally's headstone
Thanks! Yes, I saw that. I was home in August and went out to the cemetery to visit my brother's grave. I went over there and took a pic of that new tombstone, but haven't unloaded my pics yet!

Hi Lisa. That would be wonderful. (I had assumed that the headstone had been lost to time.) Thank you again! Michael Hawkins

Thank you so much!!! I had been able to visit once, but found that the cemetery is in fenced field, and did want to bother the landowners because the weather was very rainy and cold that day. Getting this photo is such a pleasant surprise! Thank you again.

RE: Thomas W Baker
I am not related to Thomas. I have been doing a lot of research on the old Tompkinsville National Cemetery and saw where he was originally buried there before being relocated to Nashville. Just thought you would find that interesting. Thanks, Chad Comer

I saw where you posted a military picture of Thomas W Baker. Did you know he was originally buried in the Tompkinsville National Cemetery and moved to Nashville National Cemetery after the war? Thanks for posting his picture!
