|Phil DeAngelo||Budlong Cemetary|
We are in the process of cleaning up Budlong Cemetery, which ha been neglected for many years. There has been severe damage done to many of the headstones, one I am afraid is beyond repair. We plan to catalog and document all od the headstones located. (BTY Repairs are being made to many of the stones, some are broken into several pieces, we are doing our best to do this.) If you can volunteer time to help remove stumps, repair and locate headstones, plant flowers, make wall repairs, or simply clean headstones, please do not hesitate to do so. The progress seems very slow, but with so much overgrowth and so much headstone damage, it will take time, but the interest and comments have been tremendous. The work will go on. If you have any interesting facts about a relative or internment, we have room on our cemetery board. Thank you for your patience, we will get there and it will be a beautiful and restful place to visit the ancestors of the Sauquoit Valley.

I have visited Budlong Cemetery several times trying to locate the markers of Rev. Benjamin Budlong and his wife, Ruth unsuccessfully. I have not seen the Budlong Cemetery sign before, When was it installed?

Thank you Barbara for the pictures you took at Budlong Cemetery of the gravestones of Martha Pelton Andrews and Henry Nichols.
Were you unable to locate gravestones for Isaac Andrews and Martha Andrews Nichols? The records indicated they were next to those of Martha Pelton Andrews and Henry Nichols.

Perfect! Excellent photos. Thank you Barbara. Your photographs and transcriptions clarified several dates on the monument. It was important to see both sides of the monument clearly. I'll make findagrave requests for the other names on the monument so that you can post your photos to them and receive credit for doing so. Also, I am sending messages to the host of the various memorial pages that need editing. Thanks again and good luck with your genealogy.
